For any information or suggestion leave a comment.
HP printers have a tool called Estimated Ink Level.
It's a tool that allows you to keep track of how much ink is left in the inkjet cartridges, so you don't risk to run out of ink in the middle of a long print job.
But if you refill your cartridge it will read that cartridge as empty when you try to print.
In the contact strip located on the back of the cartridge there is a serial number and the internal memory in the printers' firmware remembers that serial number and gives the message of out of ink.
It will remember the previous 2 cartridges ink level. This video is a method for resetting the ink level.
For best results, empty cartridges should be refilled immediately.

the 334 and 399 cartridge are havig a different pins configuration,one horizontal row at the top and four vertical rows.

There is a new type of cartridge, with different contacts. I dont't know in the new cartridge wich contacts to cover up, but you may try the method of the 3 cartridges: search in this channel " Reset method for inkjet cartridges HP 342, 343, 344, 348, 350, 351, 100, 110, 301, 901"

My friend, and about the 122, 662 black and color cartridge? Have a diferent contacts. There is a problem in the hp 662 cartridge, os about the lock. The printer locked the cartridge and this cartridge do not work in outher printer, just in the first. Do you no some way to unlock?

hi! i have succesfully used your video to reset black cartridge. for the 3color one i am facing a problem. first it worked...printed some test papers, but now it says "cartridge problem"and the prinder does not print anything. my cartridges were unused for 6years, but i resurected them :) please help me with some advice to make it work

@@xDIVIN97 I think you can only try to clean the electronic contacts between the printer and the cartridge, and the electronics contacts of the cartridge. are you sure it's not empty?

The tape method only works with the old type of cartridges. It will not work with the new type of cartridges

This not works because in HP F4172 if you have "Error" you are not able to print anything, even test page. I wasn't able to reset hp54 and hp57 :-( any idea what to do?

it's not important to print anything, you only have to insert the cartridge

I did, but nothing happens, my printer HP F4172 is very specific and this method not works there. If you have error "E" you are not able to do anything. When I change cartridge everything work fine, without errors. They probably force people to buy new expensive cartridges like this. Shitty world. I will never buy from HP.

if the color cartridge is empty, the printer will not work. to use the printer is necessary to have a working black cartridge and a working color cartridge

Balsa TV try detach the electrical cable, wait some hours then reinsert the cable. this is a reset procedure. if it doesn't works reinstall the printer driver.
