Ven-top is the most efficient XP method if you do intervals up, then u turn and freewheel to the bottom when your workout ends
@EverythingIsPhotogenic
@EverythingIsPhotogenic 3 года назад
@@scotth3354 he's referring to badge completion. You'll get more XP by doing structured intervals with zone blocks or repeating intervals than you will get distance for time. Depending on how it's structured you can get a good chunk of XP for your effort. 10-12 XP per minute which is a better return than most people's average speed up Ven Top. Let's say it took you 90 minutes, you'd get 900-1080 XP plus the 420 at the top and letting your rider coast downhill will net you somewhere in the ballpark of 300XP depending on how heavy your rider is
@chrismccarter6875
@chrismccarter6875 3 года назад
Yes I was referring to once you have all the badges, it then becomes the most efficient way to get xp, as you get 12xp per minute going up doing intervals, then once your session is complete, however far up you are, you can free wheel back down, there is just one flat spot you have to pedal through, or you can cool down and spin lightly all they way back down

Ven-top might not be the greatest for xp, but it sure is great for collecting drops

Thanks for doing this video series. The workout one made easy to understand what is going with XP in workouts. I find Yorkshire and NYC similar that that they favor punchy riders. NYC for short power climbs type (minus the the KOM) while is Yorkshire more climbing type with longer grades. Both are good for thoes going for Everest/tron bike getting the vertical gain and still get distance for XP in. France needs more to be added to it. Hoping for some gravel or cobbles routes honor the one day classics. Paris is just crit routes. London is good routes expect for the multi laps of PRL routes. London is flat with slight rises one side of the river and hilly the other side. Agree with you on Watopia longer riders with big climbs wishing they gave more XP. Ven top is the same for time spent to finish. Glad they changed the statues on the Richmond course. Currently on classic trainer and waiting to do the bulk of route badges after getting a smart trainer. Did the some of the easy ones just to see the worlds starting off but none since unless in events. So your route badge videos will be of great help as was the ZA2020 ones.

Yeah, Ven-Top was a TOTAL mind game. Even with music in my ears, it seemed like every tenth of a mile took forever to achieve. Longest 3.5 hours of my life. France is my favorite world thus far; RGV my favorite course. Plenty of room for expansion. But I agree, it is rather repetitive at this point. And who gave you a thumbs down? Probably some 100kph badge hater. Sic 'em, Teddy.

Lol I am pretty sure it's one troll, I get one random thumbs down on almost every video. Most people just click off if it's not their cup of tea, most of this stuff is pretty innocuous why go out of your way to thumbs down. Or say something. I don't understand people who thumbs down a video and give no feedback...Teddy is already assembling a team to figure out who this anonymous thumb bandit is.

I'm sure that if Sarah were to come across this side of the Atlantic a few of us would ride the Harrogate course with here IRL (though in the reverse direction given the one way system in the middle of Harrogate).

@@mikeainsworth4504 I prefer the reverse course anyway, the climbs are much more fun that way round

Hi, I am new to Zwift (Jan 1st) and your level up guide has been great. I am @ level 11 so far. Can you do avid on explaining how drops are earned? I think it has something to do with power output. Am I close? Your vids are always very informative. Cheers

Nice video. Mostly pick routes that are more than thirty . Or two laps up to 50 . I ride every day . Never understood the point of a bunch of short rides to get points. Well over ten million. Greatbikes and wheels. Points worthless. It's the Indian not the arrow. No substitute for honest hard work. Ride on!

Hi , do i earn as much XP points when following a training program and free ride on the same map ?

Check out this video on how XP works for workouts. It's not a simple answer but you should be able to get an idea doing the calculations. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vHMuGTZ7974.html

As someone relatively new to Zwift and looking to become competitive, what’s the best way to find a team with very little ZwiftPower data to back you up? I’m 17 years old so I’d be a JNR

I would say join the Zwift Racers group on Facebook I believe a lot of the organizers hang out in that group, you can likely get folks to manually look at your performance

It was very helpful to learn how to earn the tron bike but i don't see the point in earning xp points. Sure there are a couple things i can't buy despite having the drops (which is bs, i mean whats the currency here? Drops or level!?) But in general who cares, I'm not getting dropped because i don't have those enve wheels.
@EverythingIsPhotogenic
@EverythingIsPhotogenic 3 года назад
It's the purpose of the platform, to incentivize riding by gamifying it. Having certain things only available at particular levels is kind of the point. Other video games do the same thing, creates barriers to entry regardless of currency until you have certain experience. Call it bullshit, that's how games work 🤷🏼‍♀️ no you're not going to get dropped, that's about power. But if you're only concerned about power, there are plenty of platforms only concerned with power output. The Tron bike isn't keeping you from being dropped either, it's not even the fastest bike in the game. Sorry if the video isn't useful for you, not sure why you clicked on it to tell me that, it's not my fault you don't like the game structure I am trying to provide value to those who do. Enjoy your day.

@@EverythingIsPhotogenic sorry to cause offense, i guess i clicked on the video to see if i was missing anything, a reason why i should care about levelling up. It seemed important to warrant videos on the topic so maybe i was missing something fun about zwift. But i dont get it, i guess i was just sharing that. I had a feeling the tron bike was no longer the fastest bike, but it still looks cool.
