So many shuffle teachers just show stylish technical moves over and over and sure they may have a lot of distinctive flair but it's not great for learning. I said it before and I'll say it again -- your specific style of thorough explanation is awesome and SO great for beginners! Even a lot of talented movement artists and educators aren't great with turning motion into highly specific words. Keep up the great work! 💚
I love that about her. Good verbal communication plus keeping it simple, i have a tendency to over think so techy tuts can be rough for me. This is my 1st week on my footwork journey but i have been hoop dancing 3 years now. Desperate to add steps and try choreography. She's wonderful
this video was a game changer for me, thank you so much! I'm on month 3 of shuffling and coming along decently but was REALLY struggling with the transfer of weight thing. Again, thank you for this !!
You are a wonderful teacher! Thank you so much! I just have found my passion in shuffling few weeks ago and I'm improving really quickly. I like how you explain it. You're great!
Hi Emylee, I have replayed the intro to your lesson a dozen times. It's so good. Finally my body is obeying me. I love you so much. Your play acting is delightful. I will make a video of myself shuffling when I can do it as well you. My body looks terrific like yours but I'm still very awkward. I cycle a lot so that keeps me light on my feet. Cheers from Victoria, Australia. Yes we are still in lock down. I hope the fires aren't a problem for you.
Your costume in this video really compliments your presentation of the dance routine. Even though the baggy tops are cute and are adistinct fashion statement, the shapes of the dance routines are better with closer fitting clothes. I'd love to look as good as you when I shuffle. Your hair in a pony tail also makes the dance routines clearer. That's just my opinion of course. You are an excellent tutor and I love the little aside acts/ impersonations ?
THANK YOU!!! I've been seeing you do these floating moves for so long, and always wondered how it was done because it looks so good! Your explanation with rocking was so effective :) Thank you so much for taking the time to teach!!!!
Love it Emlyee I'm 50 lol Well close I in AUSTRALIA Melbourne So we kno the shuffle well. Although that was many years ago. It keeps me fit. Also how you do slow and basic first is brilliant Thank you
trying to learn shuffle with your videos, best introduction I've seen. Just stamina is with 54 not the best, but dont give up ;-) - thanks you so much. BR from Germany
Rotheradler....She's really good I agree. Im 52, and know what you mean about the stamina ! It's great for the legs. And heart no doubt! I didnt think Id ever do it in public, but I went to a festival last yer and was teaching my friends what Id learned, we were all shuffeling...quite badly! ... but, by some miracle...must have been the muddy floor, I finished with the most perfect moon walk lol! I havent been able to do it as good since. It was only a few seconds, I didnt go far...but it was as good a moon walk as any Ive seen! Yes dont give up, it's a great dance to learn, at any age :)....though I rememberpeople doing it back in the 90s when we went raving, but I never bothered learning it then.
Hey Girl!! I just love ya! I can almost do the whole “Jelous” choreo! Shuffling is the best dance to learn, it’s challenging and rewarding! And the accomplishment I feel when I can do a routine 🤩💃🏼💃🏼 not to mention my legs & booty are lookin bomb from the cardio & balancing it involves! I feel spectacular and I’m sure u can tell I’m all fired up still from doing this video too! 🙈🙈🙈 Thanks for making these the way you do. 💗much love from Canada, Nadine
Your teaching skills are wonderful, you explain everything very well keeping breakdowns easy to understand verbal as well as physically. I am on my 1st week, i like to watch the video 1st then feed off your energy and join in right after. While also mapping out a playlist for drill days. My main flow art is hoop dance, as a teen in the 90s rave era i was ripped off of never having coordination or anyone to really guide me.
well, after 28 year i feel like i am too old for this, but i try learn it, and good,i found your tutorials, maybe i get a little chance to complete this imortant goal for me :) Thank you for this videos,it is so much help for beginners like me,i guess :)
You are a great shuffle teacher. Can you make a shuffle playlist with slower tempos, even if it's just a few songs you think would work for a total newb?
Okay so I see you replaced the T step with a slide hop, kinda looks good,I'm also a shuffler and I've never tried that way of moving side to side besides when I change my Melbourne shuffle to Hardstyle shuffle,so your way of doing it is abit of both,I even tried it,I got it right after the second try but my feet just goes back to the T step 😅old habits die hard, awesome video🌹
Emylee you’re literally my shuffle queen You don’t know how much you’re helping me I’m your proud student Lysm 💕💕 Love from India Keep making vids like these And I wanted to ask are you on Tiktok I followed you on insta I hope some days we’ll shuffle together when I learn properly💕💕
I love your channel and teaching style, very helpful, thank you! I am a beginner shuffle dancer and love it. One question for you, is there really a free style dance or is it better to dance in a routine? Thank you for any help you can give me.
I’ve been practing this move for a few months from a couple different teachers 😾😾😾it’s hard for some reason . I’m not a trained dancer does any one thinks it could be the counts. I can’t do dance counts 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Love your shuffle videos they help me a lot! But I don’t know what music to use to practice with so could you show us some songs/playlist in one of ur vids or on insta pls it would help me out a lot!
