FAQ's:
-Do I need any special tools to install this product?
Yes, In order to replace the torsion keys, the torsion bar tension must be relieved with a special torsion bar unloading tool. These tools are easily rented from an automotive specialist store and are also available for purchase from our other auctions. There are several sources that suggest a large C-clamp may accomplish this task as well; however C-clamps pose a risk of slipping off of the crossmember and should not be used.
-How do I adjust the front ride height of my truck, as stated in your ad?
Your torsion keys sit on threaded bolts which allow you to customize your truck to the perfect ride height. Our torsion keys offer approximately 2” of lift after installation. One full turn of the threaded bolt will raise or lower your ride height 1/8”, ultimately affording a range of 1” to 3” of lift.
-What kit should I buy to level my truck?
The best way to accurately level your truck is to measure the distance from the ground to the top of your front and rear wheel wells. Subtract those two numbers and the difference will be the amount of lift you will need to level your truck.
-Do I need an alignment after installing this kit?
Whenever the suspension of a vehicle is altered, it is always recommended to perform an alignment to ensure proper handling and to prevent premature tire wear.
