Finally wrapping up this job, had a little over 70 tons of dirt trucked in to finish grade the entire yard. We ended up bringing the area around the house up 7" in some spots! Poor little Bobcat 463 was working like a champ though! Next vidja here will be fence work, using the bobkitten to auger the post holes, and then the final cleanup! If you liked it, please consider subscribing, and any questions, concerns, or suggestions are welcome in the comments below! See ya in the next one! -JasonWorksAlot

JasonWorksAlot I just found my bolt on toothbar, bolt on sacrificial cutting edge, spare cutting edge, several teeth, shanks, pins and retainers, plus I have a bucket that is narrower than the overall tire/machine width, hydraulic 2 way dozer/snow blade, filters, injectors, starter, alternator, bobcat spray paint, manuals and various other small spare parts for our bobcat. I probably should try and sell them because I have no plans to replace my “permanently borrowed” I mean stolen machine.

Richard Savaglio still aggravates me that happened to you man. Unacceptable behavior. What model did you have?
@richardsavaglio661

JasonWorksAlot easy model to remember. It’s a cat model too. 963. I think I’d rather have the Cat though!!!! Mmmmm steel tracks!!! Lol

Richard Savaglio yeah man. Track loader is next on my list. May end up becoming a necessity before too long honestly.

Awesome video man! The editing is sweet! Going to have to step up my game lol. Thanks for the shout out too! You know I only use the best rollers 🙄😆 That’s great looking dirt too, did they bring it in quads? 70 tons in 3 loads is a big truck. Project looks great, night and day difference! Keep up the good work!

Elite Earthworks LLC thank you! I think I went a little excessive with it this time, and it took forever to do so in the future I probably won't do so much lol. Yes! Only the best rollers of course hahaha, we were going to do the side yard too but it got too late lol. Triaxle s probably closer to 65 yards now that I'm awake and can math. It was like 20 tons 22 tons and then 25 tons. Thank you! Doing our best with what we've got lol. Thanks for watching sir see ya in the next one!

JasonWorksAlot I figured it had to be 20 tons or more at a time. Which is about the same here we just a few guys with tri axles most have tandems so they haul 15 tons

Elite Earthworks LLC sounds like you sir need to invest in a triaxle!

That's a lot of work for the Bobkitten! Every time I watch you and Brandon do yard jobs like this, I always find myself wondering if a utility tractor with a box blade on the back would be a quicker way to do it. Of course, money does not grow upon trees and you've got to do what you can with what you've got (and you did very nice job with the Bobkitten) but that thought has always occurred to me. Thanks for the video Jason.

Sandy comrade Sandy! A valid question, and one that I considered for a long time when I was in the market for something (ended up being the kitten) I personally do not think it would be worth it, or atleast practical in my aspect. The largest problem I have with a tractor/blade setup is the actual large size of the rig(see what I did there, I crack me up!) I prefer the maneuverability of the more compact skidsteer (or track loader) over that of the tractor. Now I'd be hard pressed to justify a bobkitten over a tractor because let's be real it's basically a step up from a tonka toy, however when I factored in the price I paid for it with a trailer it was a no brainer. If I can find time soon to get the woodchipper project going and wrapped up, the sale of that is going to majorly fund the next equipment purchase of a tl250 or tl12 track loader just like brandons. Back peddling a little but I would say that the bobkitten is justified also in its size or lack there of, I can fit it through a small gate so never have to take a customers fence down and out it back up. Saves time and lessens the chance of property damage I'm responsible for. Hope I didn't ramble too much there and kinda shed some light on the question, atleast as it is viewed from my perspective. Just my 2 cents Take it today for half off face value :) and as always my friend thanking you for watching, and DRINK MORE VODKAS!

@@JasonWorksAlot These are all valid points. And ones I had not really considered. I am used to thinking in terms of my area, where almost everyone has a largish yard (my own is 3.75 acres) and the smaller machine is more liability than asset because of the time to get anything done. You'd burn it up or at least always be doing maintenance on it in this area. Where you are working I could see the Bobkitten being a much better value for money. Certainly it is preferable to doing it with the Armstrong Backhoe (AKA shovel) and a wheelbarrow. Especially if it comes with a half-decent trailer. AvE's proverbial sore di*k deal in that case.

Sandy indeed comrade! Yes I originally got it for my property which is just under 2 acres. I wanted it for the tree removal, and snow removal ( my drive way is right around 400' long) and for that it's just hardly enough. I got it off my business partners uncle this was before we had the excavation business though for 6000 with trailer. It had just under 1000 hours on it and had been sitting for about 10 years. He used it to put in above ground pools so it wasn't worked very hard at all. Then we started doing pools with it and that kind of spiraled into starting the business. Now trying to swing it into more excavation less land grading but hey if it pays, I'll do it...within reason... would also like to get into more land clearing as well. Have my eye on a feller buncher head that goes on a big track loader I saw at Bunyan. If I get the tl250/12 then it'll be on my list of toys errr tools to acquire!

walter mattson thanks! And yes it sucked. My back and neck are killing me from bouncing around like hell in there. Overall it was an 11 hour day there, about 7 hours in the bobkitten moving dirt back and forth probably 2 hours to spread and grade and 2 hours to rake it. Then worked that night at my real job. I'm exhausted lol.
