Thank you so much for making this video. My little Leila was born with a unilateral partial cleft lip on one side, a deviate septum that almost entirely blocked her left nostril, and bilateral cleft soft palate. Your Levi is about a year older than my baby. When you talked about almost not recognizing your baby after surgery I felt that familiar feeling. I loved the way my baby looked with her cute little "tiger smile" as my husband would call it. And now she looks so different. But I love the way she looks now too. It has now been 9 weeks since her cleft lip and deviated septum repair and she is doing wonderful. We are looking forward to her cleft palate repair in December. I am so glad that I found your channel. I love seeing your journey with Levi and it helps me know what sort of things to expect. We watched your video about first foods this morning because Leila started eating banana 2 weeks ago and today we introduced sweet potato. I am SO glad I watched it! Because, I think leaving the sweet potato thicker rather than thinning it down with breast milk helped her handle it in her mouth today. I appreciate you and I will be praying for Levi as he grows and heals and learns.
I am so glad you’ve enjoyed watching my videos and have found them helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions or just need someone to talk to! Good luck with the next surgery for your sweet little one ❤️
