I love what Lewis said about weed. It does help. I am living proof. I am a living example. I am a Veteran and suffered 12 years of PTSD and couldn't do therapy without tranquilizers. Then my state made medical pot available. The VA docs still can't prescribe it, but it made me able to access memories set down while in a state of extreme stress and pain. The trick is, just one or two puffs at a time. Not massive tokes. Repeat if needed until distracted. I can think clearer and choose my words better in that state. I read and write with full clarity. Most people think I'm rather gentle and witty now when I was isolated and cringing a few years ago. People thought me hostile then. And it wasn't like that with tranqs. After a few years they weren't working so well. I knew what a trap I was in so we tried several non habit forming meds to no avail. I had bad side effects. I get no side effects from weed. I have not gained weight, either. The munchies are related to dry mouth and I am a coffee fiend, anyway.

Well, I'm gonna' throw a pebble in a pond and say: Mr. Black has somehow made a new covenant with God and turned this "heckler" thing on it's head. How genius to create this new form of comedy. Love what you do and keep reinventing yourself. 😉😁

Watching this in 2020, it feels current except for the fact we have an imbecilic twit in the White House, compared with the intelligent witty and classy guy who was there when this was filmed. LOVE this format, and the questions and interaction with the questioners were excellent.

Politics aside, what a beautiful, nuanced, deep & abiding friendship Lew and Kathleen have. I always liked both of their routines from over 25 years ago but never knew they were pals. Seeing them like this, feeling the warmth, makes me feel about humanity the way Lew feels about gluten and the way Kathleen feels about single-malt. 😊
