i would say they are still the fastest, but red bull has indeed caught up to their level, not sure what to call the faster car right now at this point in the season
@@acrytala you guys are insine if you think Mercedes is the fastest car right now.... You really think hamilton is some average driver who is just in pace with his competitors when his car is faster or what?

After all these years in a dominant car a driver could get complacent. Hamilton shows at every challenge he's still a formidable force that astonishes behind the wheel without fail.
People pretend the car has been "dominant" every year when there have been years like 2008, 2018 and arguably 2017 where he won the title without having the best car. He's got nothing left to prove.
@@sandman1347 hahahahaahah 2017 please. A car that finishes 1-2 and wins by 40 seconds on a track like Monza where power makes the difference, you're saying that car wasn't the best car? Please. Mercedes have been the best car since 2014, and he also had other championship winning cars, the McLaren in 2012 was the fastest car, just unreliable. Verstappen just made a mistake today, that's it.
@@acc6748 2017 was Bottas best Merc season to date, beating Vettel twice in Austria and Russia and equaling the same amount of podiums as the two real championship contenders that season. It’s not a surprise that Mercedes have two drivers firing on all cylinders nor is it a surprise that Lewis took pole in wet conditions and ran away from the competition in Monza when down in the driver’s championship, that’s in his dna, that’s what makes him the greatest gp driver we’ve ever seen, no one can catch Lewis perhaps maybe Verstappen this season but we still have 22 races to unfold
@@acc6748 a car that finishes 1-2 ... you mean mostly Lewis 1 and someone else 2 ... Verstappen will break records fersure but for now Sir Hamilton is still got a few tricks up his sleeve ... Hamilton has been a winner his whole life in any car
I really like seeing this Hamilton, the one who has to really fight for the top spot, rises to the challenge and clearly loves every minute of it. People tend to think it's just hollow words when he says he wants more competition at the front, but I believe him.
Lewis loves a challenge hes a pure racer at heart, this extra challenge is only a bonus for him and loved seeing him so happy after the pole position. We know for sure we're going too see the most from Lewis. Enjoy him while hes still in F1!
@@matt260 You don't have to be a fan of him to respect his talent. Its his haters that live in denial of his achievements and ability that are the cringey ones.
For those who want to comment about track limits, it's different for different parts of the circuit. For example, at 0:49 it is the white line on the far left and at 1:07 it's the red curb. At 0:55 there’s been no sort of track limits ruling imposed as they’ve eased on it so he can run wide there and at the Variante Alta Chicane, the drivers can go over the kerbs. For this weekend they’ve eased up on track limits so they’ve been more harsher on the drivers in places such as turn 4. Also the exits out of the last two turns, there’s no sort of track limits for those two exits out of the final two left handers.
Yeah true.. but honestly i don't get why. If you are over the white line with all of your tires you leave the track and if you gain an advantage the lap time will be deleted. Why should it be handled differently in every curve?
@@lax6129 because some corners are easier to stay within track limits than others. Turn 9, a high speed down force corner, is much easier to stay within track limits, than the Variante Chicane.
Lewis indeed performs better under pressure. He is used to this.. The man has had some incredible rivalry over the years. Looks like we are in for another great one this season and he seems to be ready to take on anyone right now..
@@7yotta nah people are gonna take a complete u turn after he retires and start giving him the credit he commands Like with Schumacher and vettle both were hated during their dominant eras but now are well liked
Who doesn't give him the credit he deserves? I don't like how annoying he is with the social issues but thats not related to him as a driver but as a person, and as a driver he's the most dominant ever and if someone can't separate those two things then too bad
I m a Ferrari supporter since 1996! but... He's simply the best! I love him. Amazing driver, no mistakes, never! others drivers can do all that they want, but Lewis is always in front of em! Real pleasure seeing him on the track!
In case you didn’t know, Ham had implied such thing during Vettel’s dominance as well. That’s why some F1 fans looked at him in a bad light. He became exactly what he scorned.
@@EnderTNT_123 you’re a disgrace to not only to this sport but yourself too. If you started watching F1, in the last 2-3 years you’re speaking out of ignorance or if you’ve been watching for a long time, no one can help you.
@@EnderTNT_123 And you probably haven't either, as this car is no longer as dominant as the one they had in previous years. It's actually very similar to Redbull in terms of pace, if not even slightly slower.
@@sBinotto-od6no yeah It was not flawless and Lewis wasn't happy with it, his final lap in quali was also slower than this lap time which is why they were surprised that he GOT IT (pole)
Now I want to see people say something about Lewis and how the car is fast, you know the Mercedez isn’t the fastest car or they don’t have the best package but Lewis brings the best out of the car. He is a legend “ Ayrton senna would be proud “
You just worded it to your narrative. Seb said max was faster cos he got a fresh tire but Lewis is a smarter driver. On fresh tires max can never see Lewis back
That is not how life works. Intelligence can get you very far, but talent is usually the winning factor. Here an example: You can have someone whose genetics (=talent) is perfect for sprints (running ie. 400m) but maybe not the most intelligent one (let's say IQ 100) - he will still outpace the guy that maybe has an IQ of 150 but not the perfect genetics.
Could you kindly have a word with these Red Bull fans (Read: Lewis haters) who still insist Lewis has the quicker car. The idea that Lewis knows his way around a car tickles their soul, lol
@@utanikuta8203 Ive been seeing a flood of comments saying " mercedes are still the faster car" LOL its safe to say that hamilton will never have these degenerate haters on his side- ever.
@A no Mercedes definitely don’t have the fastest car only a idiot would think that just like Bahrain redbull is faster but Hamilton is the difference like always
Meanwhile, Bottas is finishing neck-to-neck with Latifi. This year would've been 🔥🔥🔥🔥 with Lewis and Russel in Mercedes and Max and Checo in the Redbull.
@@jalheeljalhe5799 at this point Mercedes should just have Lewis' car tow Bottas' car throughout the race. It'd be cheaper for them and they'd score more points than they are scoring now with Bottas driving that car.
@@fckingkim Gasly will be a better option than Valtery. I do not underestimate Bottas, I know that he is fast but I do not see his future in Mercedes because his battle vs LH cost him to much mentally and to me, he is washed. Valtery needs a new challenge.
Will not lie but Hamilton is so fast and probably one of the best drivers to ever have lived, really don't like the guy but hats off to him for consistently pulling it out the bag. I still feel RB have the fastest car but Hamilton was the fastest driver in Quali for sure.
I think he is a top professional for sure. Probably the best ever. He's also an artisan player in that he appears chilled and cool but he's super super competitive, love it! Well done man!
2020 qualifying times V.B 1:14.411s 2021 qualifying times L.H 1:14.221s So almost 2tenths off last year's pace not bad considering the amount of downforce lost with this car.
I was rhe same with Schumi, but facts are facts.. it's all In the game He won 7WDC.. thats a fact.. so like .him or nort, one has to Respect him, if we love F1, 1%
I thought the audio wasn’t matched up correctly in the first few corners, but on the second watch I realized that’s just how insane these cars are. Unbelievable
This is why you pay the big bucks, Bottas shows the real pace of the car, Lewis has grown so much as a driver, He was surprised because he didn't give it all.
@@h4rshturtle456 similar to Vettel, But Mercedes treat each team member equally, So the only difference was Lewis was able to drive around the problems, His natural talent is an unfair advantage, Which makes him difficult to beat.
Aldas! Fancy seeing you here! Love your vids mate. How to you predict this race will go for Sir Lewis? Do you think he’s gonna be able to keep the two RedBulls at bay or is it impossible?
what a nice number he made!!!! 1:14.411 you can read it backwards !!! has got the 44 in it!!!! but wait!!! has got checo's number all over the place!!! number's talking!!!! great f1 stuff !!!
