I do think that change is long overdue, in particular to decisions made by stewards in a similar level to VAR in football. However, I also recognise that the FIA is a organisation consisting of many moving parts so any change will be slow but that being said, something should be introduced and soon in order to get the ball rolling.

Karoon and his cohorts at sky F1 are the same ones whom went along with the farce that was Abu Dhabi 2021when simple black and white stedfast rules were broken and they all tried to spin it like everything was legit, so they have no credibility.. anyone whom did not understand what went on there are just lying to themselves and for Chandhock to now come out and reference Abu Dhabi 2021 is rather pathetic and hypocritical.. no one except Jonny Herbert called out that farce and he's no longer around..

FIA credibility is on the line. As a wealthy organisation, they willl probably take the wrong decision to fight it on the basis that no one in the FIA wants to front this.

…so FIA did their due diligence after someone knew something they shouldn’t have and they traced through the possible avenues/leaks and confirmed it wasn’t the case and closed the issue….🤔 Sky being Sky 🤦🏼‍♂️

They never stated a conclusion. More likely FoM wouldn’t cooperate with the investigation so they dropped it. F1 can’t risk their diversity project.

I doubt you would be very happy if the police publicly announced you were under investigation for murder based on evidence that doesn't exist then later give a half-hearted statement stating you didn't do it? The FIA claimed there was a complaint but no such complaint appears to have existed. So why did they state there was when the announced an investigation? And such an investigation would have taken much longer than than the few days it was active. Also why did the FIA feel the need to make such a public announcement. They could have just silently investigated and announce later if they found something.

@@JS-ct1uo …completely different scenario…they didn’t accuse her, they investigated based on information from others… that was it. The media blowing it up before FIA got involved. If they said she did it then backtracked different story…. But if there’s a possible breach or leak of an FIA employee (regardless who) they need to investigate.

Susie was not investigated and was never accused of anything directly. This was the statement from the FiA: "The FIA is aware of media speculation centred on the allegation of information of a confidential nature being passed to an F1 team principal from a member of FOM personnel. The FIA Compliance Department is looking in to the matter." looking into it..........not even an investigation was started, no names mentioned, she has no leg to stand on.

If this allegation was first made by the press, why is she not suing them. The F.I.A. is 100% right to a comment on allegations that the press make and to see if there is any truth in the matter. I do not see any statement that was made that was defamatory her skills and expertise were not called into question. So where is the defamatory remark.

The issue was that the FIA publicly announced an investigation into her and Toto supposedly based of a complaint. However the complaint against them seems to have never existed. It is a pretty basic case of deformation.

Hard to decide who is most overrated between Toto and Susie, but I'm going to go for Susie - who has long been championed as smashing through barriers in F1 and motorsport in general despite being less significant and successful than the women who came before her, that the media pretend don't exist. 73 starts in DTM and her only points finishes were two 7ths. Best ever championship finish was 5th in Formula Renault 2.0 UK.
