I think Lewis is just biding his time and skating thru the season because he no longer wants to risk his neck by driving that tractor of a car at the limit for Merc!
I don't think Lewis is the problem the car has been bad for a couple years now. I still believe that he can remain competitive into his later years but to be honest not even Max would be able to get much out of that Mercedes car. and the future is looking rather bleak I would expect Aston Martin to lap Mercedes once Honda comes into the picture.
Supporting Lewis is now about “belief”. Basically a religion. No facts to support it, just hope, love and belief. I think for outsiders it helps to approach Lewis supporters like religious people; if it helps you and it makes you happy, go for it!
Max won't join Mercedes while they have not got a competitive car, he has the sense to see that, he knows the truth if others haven't the sense to see that.
@@valkenburgert The facts are, Lewis got fastest lap in Monaco, not the first this season, also came 1st in first practise and did well in 2nd. Came 3rd last year in the WC in an uncompetitive car, he still has it and age is just a number, it comes with experience which he certainly has. He has done loads.of experiments with the set ups for the team, sometimes they went to far, ruining his pace. I am sick of seeing doom and gloom comments about him. He went through enough in 2021 with the unjustifiable happenings. Hopefully his mindset can cope with all this vile comments I am seeing. Commentators don't help matters

And Bottas was specifically signed to force a clear first-second driver hierarchy in the team. Now you can make up all the excuses you want but all you’d be doing in confirming exactly what I originally wrote. Whether or not that makes you sick is completely and utterly irrelevant, that sounds like a personal issue you should figure out for yourself, possibly with help. Now, if you ask me for advice I’m happy to give it. If you however are in denial I have no interest in your personal struggles in any way, shape or form.

They have improved their car very much and you think Lewis will not be able to drive it. Lewis drew on points with Alonso, won less points when teammates with Button, then finally he crushed a teammate: Kovalainen. Then lost a season to Rosberg until Mercedes signed a clear second driver to not have a 2016 season again. Bottas. Lewis crushed Bottas. When Bottas left Lewis lost straight away to Russell and is behind now. Lewis crushed Kovalainen and Bottas. Where Bottas was signed to lose. Lewis won championships for free when he beat his teammates but the fact he consistently lost to his teammates throughout his career is telling for his qualities. Lewis will lose to Leclerc and when he does don’t say that it’s surprising and nobody could see it coming or that Lewis is getting old. It would just be and extension of his results throughout his career.

Max is good, but Senna was the best of all time. Had he not died, Schumacher would not have one as many championships. Senna could have easily won Seven

Why is Hamilton the last driver with skill? He clearly had a better car then the rest of the drivers heck the 2014 Merc is arguably the most dominant car in history so he most not have any skill either. For that matter I guess anyone who has ever been a world champion hasn't had any skill according to your theory because in case you haven't noticed F1 has always been a sport of progression of car technology.
