I love my Lewitt LCT 240 Pro in the ice white version with all the accessories. What a crisp soild sound I do have my eye on the Subzero s for my next Lewitt purchase I love what you guys are doing you make fantastic quality equipment at realistic affordable prices.

MTP 440 DM is always a good bet! But our FET condensers are also a great option

Yes, LCT 440 PURE has a pretty high max SPL and it sounds really great on electric guitar, especially clean tones.

Thinking about trying a LEWITT mic myself; currently using an AT4050 for Vocals/Voiceover. What would compare similarly?

If you are looking for roughly the same feature set, the LCT 640 TS is the most equivalent (although it has some extra pad, low cut and polar pattern options). It also has much lower self-noise. If you don't need those extra features, I would also highly recommend checking out PURE TUBE. It's specifically optimized for vocals, gives you a classic tube sound (warm and silky!) with exceptionally low self-noise (7dBA).

I just discovered LEWITT mics, and I’m now considering picking up a pair. I want mics that I can use in a stereo pair to record instruments like acoustic guitar, upright piano and violin. What mics would you recommend for this use, if you have a mic that is as flexible as I need?

Most our condensers would work well but I'd recommend the LCT 140 AIR. It has an "Air" mode and "Flat mode" for tamed high end (which can be very helpful on brass).

After lot of research I am now confused between 440 pure and 240 pure, is it really worth to pay extra, if I can get in 240 pro

Hi, the main difference between the 2 microphones, are the specs. The LCT 240 PRO has a bit more self-noise (19 dB A) than the LCT 440 PURE (7 dB A), for example. The LCT 440 PURE also has a 1" true condenser capsule, and the LCT 240 PRO has a different, smaller capsule. Can you go and test them both and see which one suits you better? In terms of sound, they both sound similar. They both have Record-Ready sound, which gets you close to an end result right from the start. What will you be using the microphone for?

Does the Lewitt 1040 have the directional polar pattern just like the 640?

I bought the 640 ts and I mainly use for vocals. I haven’t been able to test it much yet. It seems like you guys don’t advertise it as a VOCAL mic… should I return it and get a 540 ? I have yet to see anyone use the 640 ts on vocals

You shouldn't care about any label on it, or about what others do. If it does what you want, that's all that matters. Like the Shure SM57 is an instrument mic considered to be the tried-and-true choice to record guitar cabs, but there you had it being used for decades as the mic of the US president.

LCT 640 TS is a fantastic microphone for vocals. When it comes down to it, it's a very versatile microphone so you might hear about it for a lot of other things like guitar, drum OHs, rooms... but it's certainly being used on vocals too.

I actually bought a 640 ts my self a while ago just for the versatility of changing polar patterns and stereo recordings. I use it for vocals and acoustic guitar and I’m really satisfied of its clarity and great sound. I don’t have to do a lot of eq-ing afterwards. Just great sounding.😊

Both are multi-pattern microphones, so you have the option to choose any directional or omnidirectional pattern you'd like!

Guys, if there's someone out there who tried both LCT 440 PURE & LCT 441 FLEX can you tell what's the difference besides from different directionalities that FLEX offers. Like does FLEX set to cardioid directionality records the same thing as PURE does or there're some differences in circuits etc.? I'd like to record vocal mostly so now I'm choosing between PURE & FLEX

The sound differences between the LCT 440 PURE and the LCT 441 FLEX in cardioid are very minimal. LCT 441 FLEX was designed as the multi-pattern version of the LCT 440 PURE. Hope that helps!

@@LEWITT-audio That would be amazing. I did a search and found that the last ones you made were the DGT 450 and 650. The specs and options on those mics were unbelievable. I had to ask myself....why on earth did they not keep this going? I can say I am loyal to the brand at this point. I have a 240 and just ordered a 440 but I am limited to XLR options. Please bring back the genius of the DGT series or something similar to it. Thank you!!

Lots of good options out there--anything with Neutrik connectors will be great quality. However, if you're on a budget Monoprice premiere cables get the job done.

Which is comparable to the Mojave MA201 Fet?

LCT 540 S or LCT 440 PURE would be most comparable in terms of features and sound. Both have a lower self-noise and higher max SPL. LCT 540 S has additional features including a pad switch and low cut options as well as ultra low self-noise (only 4dB).
