I have a compressor and that’s not what it does so what it does is a compresses air and throws it into a large tank that you can use for a pneumatic tools are filling up tires
Ive seen this so many times but my brain and ears wont communicate. I can hear compression, so much so that I can tell what mics and (hardware) compressors have been used, but my brain still doesn’t click when I myself put them in. It’s always been just a “what sounds good” kinda thing. My mixing technique though consists of me leaving the room with a bluetooth volume knob and mixer board and editing from outside my studio room. I can hear more raw elements and blend better that way, then when I come back into the room I just do some tweaking
Question: I just purchased a Pure Tube and have been putting it through the paces. I seem to be having trouble with distortion during louder vocal passages. This is not a problem I've had with other mics. Is this normal?
That is not normal. PURE TUBE can withstand quite a bit of volume before going into audible distortion--vocals shouldn't be loud enough to overdrive the tube under normal circumstances. If you have ruled out other aspects of your signal chain and suspect something is wrong with the microphone, our support team can help troubleshoot. Send your serial number and proof of purchase to support@lewitt-audio.com and they will be happy to help.
i have the 240 pro microphone , im live streaming my ps5 , i have the capture card ,im using ecamm live as my streamin software , i wanna be able to turn my tv down but still record and hear thru my headphones can i do this with connect 6 ...also i have imac computer..thanx
You can create create separate mixes in CONTROL CENTER that can be routed to different outputs, so you should easily be able to accomplish this with CONNECT 6
Mic placement or distance is the best way to isolate. Cardoid mics have great rear rejection so you can angle them upward to isolate your voice from keyboard sounds. Also, the closer you are to the microphone the more isolated your voice will be from background noise. Experiment to see what sounds best
If only Connect 2 had the DSP effects (or control center in general) of Connect 6 - it would have been such an insane audio interface! It is the only thing I really miss in Connect 2, and in Connect 6 there is no Hi-Z input, and the headphone output impendence is quite high 😔 Looking forward to Connect 4, which will take the best from both previous cards! Or at least I'll be dreaming about it
