Amazing commitment to those waves. It's incredible how consistent the wave has been over the years. I remember about 10 years ago I visited it and did my first attempt at an air reverse. No wave previously had ever given me enough speed to fly. About 30 minutes later everyone from the box pro rocked up and I was part of one of the sickest sessions ever. Stoney, rigby, novy, singer, halsey, and others putting on a clinic. You are the king of medge though.
I live at Golden Bay, and ride an 8'softboard, but this makes me want to take up bodyboarding!! Great stuff, and I especially like d the slow mos!! Fantastic airs!!
This guy is landing 720's with ease.. subscribed! Invert to airREVO will be next or double backflip.. he's so smooth off the wave 🌊 into the air, control and fluid, looks so smooth
Standup surfing is sick AF but you'd never be able to land most of these on a stick. Just as there's waves where a bodyboard would look silly compared to stand-ups. No need to compete between the sports, they are each unique and cool in their own ways. Only reason to care otherwise is if you've been brainwashed by toxic surf culture.
