One of wrestling's craziest scenes, Bruiser Brody just quits working in a cage match and does nothing. Lex Luger joins Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw and discusses. We also have the cage match in the Lex playlist.
According to Meltzer, Matsuda was pissed because Luger was going to Crockett and he told them that he can’t job on his way out of Florida.Matsuda told Brody to beat him up for real.Brody changed his mind and decided to no sell because he knew Luger would be confused and wouldn’t know what to do.Brody figured it would be easier that way than to beat him up. Matsuda ended up being happy with Brody because Luger looked like a big coward climbing the cage after the match.Luger was the one that ended up looking bad when all was said and done.
My thought: Brody knew Lex was green as fuck. Brody probably wasn't paid well, and didn't want to kick Lex's ass. Brody figured the best way to go about it was to just not sell. Give up, not sell, and hope Lex does what Lex did
Ive heard - read Brody had done this thing before because he didnt get get along with promoters. This (attitude of his) is believed what led to what happened in Puerto Rico
