Man another super helpful no b/s video for fellow rc f owners. Truly appreciate your effort here! You inspire me to make many mods and I couldn’t be happier!
INVALUABLE INFORMATION! No matter what the platform, there is usually not many people that have ran that many setups. Giving a true personal perspective comparison is great for everyone else’s consideration. 100% agree with coils vs springs. Buy once, cry once. But aesthetically, springs may be a good use case to most. You’re sitting on a small fortune of used parts bro - sell for more! LOL.
Haha thanks. Yeah figured I had all of these so I should share with the world. If I wasnt doing anything more than daily driving the car and doing a mountain run here or there. I think springs would have been great. But after experiencing the difference between coilovers and springs, i vote for coilovers. Its a small fortune in this video haha.
@@thehuangbros Appreciate it the advice. The only issue I’m finding is, I’m only seeing the springs for cars that aren’t mine. I drive a 2015 IS fsport. I put meh ass tein coilovers and I’m not impressed. I wanted to switch them out.
Would you rather have aftermarket coilovers over the lexus Adaptive Control System? I want more control but the, I'm not sure if it worth but after market
Like lowrider type suspension? Theyre cool, airing down on people while talking to them through your window always makes a reaction. 😄. But that stuff needs a compressor, a tank to store the air, and then a little device that allows the air to go through and to the strut using air to fill up a thick rubber bag. Inflated bag and deflated bag.
@@thehuangbros you guys should drop a Nissan Titan Motor in that thing. I have seen some one do that to a 240sx. The cars are about the same size. Good luck with traction though.
@@arlistertillory7820 yeah the LS1 right now has issues with traction as it is because the oem axles can’t handle. Ive heard of titan engines in 350z. That thing was moving.
i have an is250 2014 awd and looking to install coilovers… if the car stock is a divorced spring set up then do i have to install the coils the same way?? Or can i keep the rear coilovers true and one piece? Not understanding if that is a choice or not
I thought about using the Tein Flex Z on my 2015 GS350 F Sport, and upgrading the springs front and rear to 10/12 swift. Tein customer service told me the Tein spring rate can be upgraded +/- 2. I would like your thoughts on this idea. Thank you.
Nope. If anything there are less stress on other parts since a lot of that energy is going through the true coilover suspension vs divorced setup spreading that energy all throughout.
@@thehuangbros thanks i definitely want to run a meaty setup to help with traction but also want good fitment what tire sizes would u recommend running with +32 and +35?
@@kevinpham7519 oh sorry so i meant you can range from +32 to +35. But if you wanted meaty meaty fitment, you would need +35 maybe even +38. But on a 10.5 you can do 305 but with swift springs, ive only seen 295 in the rear and 265 in front without rub.
What coilovers would you get for a daily that you beat on the weekends? I'm having a tough time between figs with their BC coilovers and RR racing options (Penske and their 2 cheaper options).
