If you have error message on dash showing check system with the yellow tyre logo, most likely one of your tyre pressure sensor is faulty.....or out of battery.
You could drive it into your Lexus dealership and get it fixed, my local Lexus want £100 which I am not prepared to pay. The sensor is only around £20 and if you shop around I am sure you can get it cheaper. Get a local tyre shop to swap it over and you save a lot of money. Unfortunately it is a bit more complex than that as each sensor have its own ID code and you need to match that with your ECU.

Lexus GS450h is now one of my all time favourite car. The only problem is the small boot space, it have to accommodate the hybrid battery, apart from that it tick all my boxes. 300+ BHP, average 25MPG in London and it is exempted from the new ULEZ charge. Super quiet and comfortable, a bit too quiet sometimes as you can hear any interior trim squeak....
adjustable suspension by a switch so you have have more spirited drive and does not feel like driving a barge.

TL;DR: it is best to rewrite the ID's stored on the ECU rather than cloning. Finally, I got the TPMS light off. I have managed to rewrite the existing ID'S to the new codes which are shown on the sensor itself. Just FYI the non-Autel were not reading in the beginning, however after fitting them and driving on them for a while, they activated. So cloning them would probably cause the light to come on again. I have now decided to ignore anything to do with copying or cloning aftermarket TPSM.

Brilliant - thanks Benson, really impressed at your perseverance. I have v similar car; bought a set of four supposedly-compatible sensors and my chum at the local garage fitted them, and programmed the car with the codes using his Snap-On plug-in gadget. Worked fine for a little while, now I'm getting "Check system" again, and can't reset by pressing the car's reset button. He re-reset the codes; worked fine for a couple of months, and it's "Check system" again, again. Bother! Any thoughts very welcome (my guess is the ebay sensors are just rubbish, but better news would be very welcome!) Cheers

Aww thanks mate but we’re in Gloucestershire so not really up the road. I’m pursuing ODB reset tools: turns out cheap clones don’t work at all for TPMS. Very best, Christ

Same problem, shame that Lexus made it impossible to bypass as from what I learned sometimes it’s not the sensors that are the problem, but something else in the chain. No garage gave guarantee that it will work and told me that more often than not replacing sensors don’t fix the issue. In my case dodgy wheeler dealer temporarily reset the sensors with none of them installed.

Hi! is it not possible to register the serials of the new sensors directly into Techstream? I mean, if it is possible, why go to the trouble of copying the existing serials if you could just pair new ones? Or is it more complicated than that? I am thinking of getting new rims for summer tyres, so need new tpms valves. Cheers!

Yes you can, as long as you have the right cable and software. Some cheap cable does allow you to read all the serial numbers etc but will fail to write, I learnt it the hard way hence bought the coder.

I have crazy problem. I bought oem sensors off ebay and it never worked I tried techstream to update the code to the installed sensor and didn't work. what can be the problem?

Need more information, did techstream data screen show you that you coded it successfully?

But I tried to program the main set of tires shows the code, ever after clearing the code or setting both the main set and 2nd set of tires . any ideas?

hello brother, I have a 2011 gs350 and 2 sets of wheels, my question is if your gs supports 2 set wheels programmed, someone says that Lexus has a button to switch between one set of wheels and another without having to reprogram the sensors, let me know thanks!

Thanks for answering, the tpms button comes in main position with the oem wheels accidentally touched the button and I put it in 2 position and now I have the light on on the board, I put it back in main and the light is still on, now I'm confused

Played your video agin and agin. the Autlel sensors do they come with ID? I can see they have asked you the question but not so sure about the answer? Why you had to copy the ID of the old one? Have tried to read the ones which didn't work using the same pad? On the laptop screen there was a TPMs different than the one you said the forth one! was it a mistake? Check 14:25 . The new autel comes blank without any id? Please answer as much as you can. Would sell the pad you have got as its out of stock? Thank you for the video. Do still have the car?

The car has gone to another driver who love Lexus, I now drive a plug in hybrid. The sensor came with an ID and you can either change it to match the existing ID on the car by change it or change the ID on the car to match the sensor. I have more success changing the ID on the car as for some reason the AutLel is a bit hit and miss with programming, 8/10 times it works. I still have the PAD but it is in my garage and lost in a pile of parts 😆

So your advice is rewrite the id on the new sensors to the existing onse in the car? Have you used the blank universal Autlel? The pad was a very good idea 💡. One more thing, some they have mentioned something about these sensors come on a sleep mode and they get activated as you drive after fitting them. Any comments on this?if you ever find the pad , please let me as I am interested in buying it so its just a postage to Manchester. Thank you for your reply . Your video one of the best videos.

I have 1.4 firmware cable and i can register new codes thru techstream, unsure is this cable firmware related problem...

May be is the other way around , no chip can't run higher firmware but backward compatible

Good morning mate....can you help a fellow Londoner? I have the same problem as you had on a Lexus GS300 2005 but all 4 sensors... you seem to have coded the new one with the old id.. why do you use techstream after doing so.. surely it should work without techstream as you wrote the same code on the autel sensor... Can you please clarify?

Tech stream to read the code, autel to write the code to the new sensor. You can write new code to techstream instead , which ever is easy

Hello mate, I've just experienced that fault today on my way to London. I would like to fix it by myself, but I'm not sure if I can do it. First of all I don't know which sensor is faulty. Second, I would need to buy this cable + ID coder + sensor it self. Did Lexus offered you to fix the problem for 100£ including sensor etc ? Thanks

Lexus want £80 plus vat to change 1 sensor. You can shop around and find tyre place who can code it for less but not many cheap place in London left

Why you need to enter so many time for registering the IDs, you old changed 1 sensor, right?

I think by default you need to enter all 4 IDs even if your are just changing 1

Hello Brother, you video is very helpful. I recently purchased a GS300 drive is smooth but it give TMPS error. Spoke to the old owner and he said he removed sensor from all 4 tyres and he said your can reset using obd2 cable and it will only show up if you drive more than 1.5 hrs. So in my case can I buy any 4 sets of aftermarket sensor and is it possible to configure it to the car ? I live in East London, any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You code the new sensors to the car ECU via laptop and cable. I have the cable and laptop, done it for another viewer with GS450h not sure about GS300. Sold my 450 last week, so sad 😞

Some shop or tyre place are super friendly and will charge reasonably, in London it is very hard to find them

Not sure what you mean by reset. Tyre sensors comes with a code and that need to match what is on you ECU car computer for TPMS to work. Sensor comes in 2 main frequency and it does not really matter brand as long as the frequency is correct

@@BCreviews lets say u get a puncture and the tire light comes on. U change the tire but the light stays on.
