Glad to see the comparison. I just picked up an 06 and the fender liners are still 100%...that being said they feel very thin and upon inspection it's no wonder why they don't last. The fender liners on older Hondas feel much stronger. Not a deal breaker and 1st world problems 😂
Hey dude, I met you back when I was getting my GX from Vitaliy of Noble Auto--that was back in March 2021. You were nice enough to chat with me about Vitaliy and the GX. Glad to have run into you and glad to see you in my RU-vid feed!
Thank you for showing me that my front splash guards are missing! Just bought the truck and something just didn’t look right in the wheel well, much appreciated!
Haven’t felt the need for a big brake kit. I use Akebono pro ceramic pads and rotors, and when properly bedded, like following a brembo/power stop bedding process, the bite and stopping power is plenty.
Just picked up a Gx 470 with 150k miles, what are your opinions on the airbag suspension and if I eventually want to get wheeled out what would you recommend to start with?
Rear coils will be more dependable than the air springs Offroad. There are some pretty cost effective coil conversion kits on Amazon for around $120. I would start with that, then a lift kit when you’re ready to upsize tires.
Stealth Custom Series Gen5's and F5's are designed to run capless. There is a guy in HI that makes caps, but has been out of stock for months. The fresh dust caps / shields and painted rear hub make a big difference though.
