Need your help! The wire with the pink tape at 6:29 can you PLEASE tell me where it connects? I replaced my evaporator and couldn't find the connector it plug into. Now I have a airbag light. Thank you!
I don’t think that wire has to do with the airbag light. Off the top of my head I don’t remember where it plugs into. For the airbag light, I’d double check both sides of the passenger airbag clips. And the clockspring airbag clips. On one recently I knocked one of those off the passenger side and had to partially remove again to get it connected. I am swapping another next week and make a note of that connection with the pink tape on it. I think that connects down by the passenger floor/center console area.
Cool! But so much to go wrong putting that all back. One issue and you have the take the whole thing out again. Did a Coverlay and then suede layover cover on top that that. looks nice and took 2 hours and $400. Or just the layover cover for $75.
This is a great video! at what point in the removal, is the driver side blend door actuator accessible? I think mine is bad, hence the stream of cold air on the driver side, while the rest of the heat works.
That’s insane, damn I almost bought 1 today but there’s a gnarly crack going across the dash 😢 I’m torn because I’m not gonna replace that thing but it looks bad 😢
I’d recommend ordering the dash from your nearest Lexus dealer. Or call to confirm part number and find online. I believe the dealer books this job around 10 hours.
