@@gearrunner I just bought a "like new" 04 crew cab 4x4 tundra. One owner, factory maintained, and AC garage kept with 49k. As soon as i recover from that, ill be in the market for one of these. (It wasnt cheap)
Hi Andy!!! Congrats on your new acquisition!!! I am a fan of Lexus. I have owned a 2003, 2007, and 2013 GS350. Unfortunately, Lexus discontinued the GS line, so I left the Lexus family. Thr LS is too big, and the IS is a little small for me. I don't like the front drive cars for an everyday driver. The Lexus dealer used to repair my wheels whenever I got roadrash on them. I had a warranty for them. They looked great after they fixed it. As far as the actuator, I remember paying close to $800 for one, but when my 2013 needed one, they just repaired them at a fraction of the cost of a new one. I like the IS model, which I would get as a loaner vehicle at times. Very good gas mileage with plenty of power. Enjoy your new vehicle!!! Be SAFE and stay HEALTHY!!! John from SoCal
Yep, I couldn’t think of the word. I’ve had cars in the past that had staggered tires but it gets annoying replacing fronts often around here in the mountain curves.
You can get the road rash repaired and wheel refinished for not too much money. Check with some car dealers and they can tell you what day the wheel man comes by and you can get them repaired. I have had that done many times and all the dealers have their cars repaired before putting them on the lots
Do you feel yourself wanting or needing more power when trying to overtake or going up hills? I'm currently deciding between the 200T, the 250 and the 350.
I don’t, but I also own a Mustang GT and a Corvette on days I want power. This is just my daily and it has plenty for me. I was going up a very large incline the other day with the cruise set on 60mph and it never down shifted. And I get somewhere around 35-37 mpg on the Hwy.
Hi Andy. Do you think the power is good enough for an everyday use car! For example, let's suppose someone is used to a BMW 320i F30 and trades it for this car, do you think the person would be satisfied? Thanks
The "leather" looks brand new because its not leather at all😂😂 It's what Lexus calls "Nu-luxe" or something like that, same as V-tex used by VW, MB-tex used by Mercedes and on and on. It comes from an Italian company and is admittedly is pretty good.
@@gearrunner Last i heard and read, the 2.5 v6 is direct injected engine. All directed fuel injected engines could have this problem. Not just Lexus. Lexus now adds both ported injection with the direct injection. Theres supposed to be a kit out there to somehow by pass the direct injection csrbon build up. Sounds like a hassle to me though. Hey, if your not experiencing any issues with the motor, great. Something you might want to keep ahead of though FYI.
@@DS..69 yea, I’ve not had any issues so far, I’ve seen these with well over 200k miles on them. I know the 4cly Toyota engines had that issue but I’ve not read that about the V6’s
@@gearrunner Good to know. Still something to keep in mind. I never follow the maintenance schedule, in that im always doing things before the recommend intervals. Especially engine oil. Unless your running synthetic. Which is what I do for any used car i buy.
