I have one and anyone can modify endlessly - it will still go 500K. Respect where respect is due. Period. Lexus/Toyota brand got this engine and realizability right. 2 decades plus
@@SSH939 Tell me you know shit about cars without saying it... A supercharged 2UR-GSE will eat everything on the road. It can be juiced to 850-900 HP on stock internals and transmission.
@@SSH939Don't care. Most adults that purchase a Lexus are aware that it's not as fast as other performance sedans. They buy them because they KNOW they are getting top quality and reliability. I drive a 2017 GS350 that's only seen the shop for service.
Out of ALL the videos I've seen on the Lexus naturally aspirated V-8...this is BY FAR the BEST sounding clip I have ever heard. Now I see why people say it reminds them of an old-school American muscle car. I'm very much pleased and satisfied! I want one now!
Not gonna lie the design for it it’s not bad looking but I still prefer the style of the original ISF. Plus it’s only 20k for 100k miles which it has proven by many owners that it’s reliable with little maintenance
Lexus dropped the ball on this car. They could have done so much better. 1. Give it the GSF racing bucket seats 2. Give it the GSF 6pot orange Brembos 3. Exposed Carbon Fiber Roof like on the RC-F But na they made it Plain Jane just with the v8 slapped under the hood.
Sooo what’s stopping you from just doing that? They gave us a luxury sedan with a nice V8 as cheaply as possible. It’s an intentional sleeper. I personally don’t want any of those modifications you listed 🥴 at what point is it a stock car vs your personal touch?
@@pHixiq bruh u have a 2.0L 4 cyl and you want to double it up to a 5.0L V8 #1 the base price is more than double #2 the gas cost will be more than double #3 you wont be able to control the car #4 youre lost and dont know what you drive yourself 😂 Wasnt thinking of the IS because u never mentioned IS200 I was thinking the little hybrid hatch or the fkin small suv u goof
This car is beautiful no doubt when it comes to styling and handling I think this has outpaced the Infiniti when it comes to beauty just look at how sexy and sophisticated this car is Infiniti is a nice car too but Lexus is stepping up with styling
@@maybelive765 who said only children could play rocket league I’m almost 26 YO and and I still play rocket league and I have 2 cars 2019 Lexus is 350 f sport and 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser LC300
@@user-nr6le2pl9v I don't know where you live, but in north america there are not many twitch streamers (like this guy is) that are not total bums/children. Also, here in NA the IS350 f-sport is ridiculously expensive over its competition. I'm looking at a Jaguar XJR-Ss, E63s, Dodge SRT 392s, Cadillac CTS-V/ATS-V for the same price as the cheapest 2019 IS350f's here. Ridiculous
@@11SecSTionStockSnail The coyote was not Ford’s only 5.0 displacement engine, it just happens to be the current one brother. 302/5.0L have been around since the beginnings of mustangs.
@@extr3me177 lol are u high? It’s not about the displacement. It’s the internal design with DOHC, v shape, cylinder size, stroke, Block design, head design, air inlets/exhaust flow design and many many more similarities. A 5.0 displacement means nothing if it’s a totally different engine. I have know idea why I’m even replying to this. You sound like a 12yr old kid. Talk to any engine builder. About similarities. 2UR-GSE came out in 2007, and then it’s as if ford copied a good design. (Not saying they did) but it’s a damn good copy
@@the_frankc I've looked at that one too. I don't think you can get it without feature where you can make it louder or quieter. I really just want a simple one. I do like the apex one.
@@85CEKR Yeah GT Haus and RR Racing are both valved. Simple catbacks you can do Apexi for now. The IS500 and RCF are extremely similar in geometry as well. I believe the IS500 midpipe is 2" longer than the RCF. So even if you got an RCF catback, any exhaust shop could make it work with the IS500.
@@85CEKR You can get the GT Haus without valves, but it's not much more for valves. The GT Haus catback costs about 5.5k without valves or 6k with valves in stainless steel, GT Haus valved in titanium for 10k, RR Racing is 3k with valves and Apexi is around 2k for the catback without valves
@@the_frankc I really like yhe sound of the apex cat back with the none resonated midpipe. I've even heard some on RU-vid with just the apex non resonated midpipe and stock axel back and I think that sounds pretty amazing. It would still look totally stock too which I kinda like. In my opinion though the best sounding exhaust for this engine is from novel, but I haven't seen anything from them for the is500.
@11SecSTionStockSnail closer to 13 seconds. You are giving it a pass for weight ? Gtr weighs nearly as much and will leave it as if it is standing still. You don't give passes to heavy cars ,unless it's a 10,000 lb hummer
@@danmcgilldma great is a gtr, not many cars can compete with a gtr. I drive a stock 2008 is-f with 120+ k miles now. And my draggy consistently tells me I’m doing 4.3-4.5 sec to 60, (that’s without diff) and 12.54@115+ mph. Is500 is slightly heavier. But also 15 years younger. And slightly more powerful. It’ll reliably go 200-300k + miles with regular maintenance. Granted it’s no GTR. But it’ll still give many modern muscles run for its money. While being a unicorn, and reliable as a Honda civic. And you’ll b doing it in comfort like any other Lexus
