In 1989 “Balance” was created with 15 champagne glasses balanced on the hood of the original #LexusLS 400. 35 years later we recreated this iconic spot with 35 glasses and a new LS.

The Lexus LS 500 is my dream car... I want one with cloth stitched door panels, kiriko glass trim, black interior, and black exterior. I would even go for blue if they have it on the market.

@@Bilobatelamb I can respect that. The LS 600 is basically the ultra luxury configuration of the LS 460, and it is still ahead of its time to say it is about a decade old.

they have done a dyno awd 3 years ago, shocking thing is that this 35 glass experiment was on f sport trim , which has stiffer suspension than luxury version of ls

But what I mean is, that they're not hopelessly unreliable so most of your expenses are just basic maintenance like oil, plugs, tyres, brakes, etc. I have a Lexus as well and its natural you pay more for higher quality parts, thats part of the course when owning a luxury car

You should go back to your roots and make the LS what it used to be, industry-leading quality and an engineering feat of strength. No doubt your sales on the ls have taken a massive nose dive ever since you discontinued the V8 engine that made it famous and loved by so many. Living under a rock? Climate change has made it harder for the automotive industry to sell cars with big engines in certain markets. You either comply with the regulations of said market or you don't get to sell your car there, simple as that. Not Lexus fault. This is an industrywide thing. Mercedes also put a 4cyl in their AMG C63 just last year.

The legend of the LS has no room for debate but what do owners like me have to say? REPAIRS AFTER REPAIRS!! The "buy to fix" experience has been haunting me. From 430 to 460s (both before and after facelift), no exceptions!! Who says a Toyota can go 300k miles?? From door actuators and folding mirrors, to regular check engine light due to broken hoses and sensors, and all the way to a TRANSMISSION!!! This is what Lexus should be proud of!!

I think what the LS needs big time is the V8 and the blue interior from the LC500, absolutely no turbos, and the AWD as an option for the V8. And a hybrid based on that V8 again with AWD as an option. Going full EV will be your biggest mistake in my opinion.

Saw an LS 400 today! I go back and forth in saying the LS or LC is my dream car. But I think I like the LS more since it seems more comfortable and I like the idea of having a sedan with five seats.

As someone who is a fan of the Lexus LS and bought a brand new 2017 LS460… the new LS500 is not really an LS you all should have released it as the GS350 or something. The headroom is dismal, the legroom is dismal, the seats are hard, the interior feels cheap. I’ve had a few as loan cars and I certainly wouldn’t buy an LS500… shame on you all for ruining a fantastic sedan.

While i think the LS 500 is a great car, it’s not what the LS should be. You should be able to see an LS coming from a mile away, but with the 500, it’s difficult to see if it’s that or an ES until you get beside it. Also, bring back the v8, earth will be just fine.

That's kind of true. Everything Lexus is just a Toyota. Ls400 was a Rebadged Toyota Celsior The list literally goes on. They're good. But I prefer a german maker for luxury autos. Especially for top speed. Nothing like a german car.
