This car definitely isn't for the bin your the only person I know that has filmed your ls400 turbo kit fabrication and the rear mound is genius for space up front
Thanks Payton, I've been enjoying some real quiet mode with the mostly stock exhaust while it's being used as the tow vehicle. But I'm already missing the cool noises 😕
Thanks🙂 no I've not done anything to the tune, there's enough "self adjustment" in the stock tune to run 6psi no problem. Obviously with a proper ECU and a good tune it would feel much better. But bang for buck you can't beat it! Thanks for watching
I didn't time it but since taking it off I've noticed it's much slower at the bottom end which surprised me, and it seems to pull harder over 5k revs now. Which leads me to believe the relatively small turbine housing was causing a restriction at high revs. Boost wise it was happy with 6psi although I did run it a few times at 9psi but the afrs were not happy. I imagine with the right tuning 10psi would be safe to run maybe even 12?
Hey, there's no easy way to adjust the timing so it was all stock. I'm guessing the stock ecu pulls a bit of timing but it it can only do so much for low boost applications
