he still has the car but is knida out of the scene right now due to his own personal issues.. i couldn't tell you how many miles were on it but knowing lextreme, this was more than likely one of his rebuilds not that it matters anyways... i've seen plenty of people throw a m112 blower on a 1uz with over 200k miles & still run strong at 270k miles.. mpg is going to be a bit lower, at least on my setup it is, not too big a difference but noticeable. & you can go to lextreme forums for more info.
Honestly when I saw the supra with a v8 in it and saw the advantages to it, I liked the idea. Don't get me wrong I will always love and respect the 2jz. I just like V8 power and torque. The idea of a nice built V8 and a good single turbo with 11/12in tires sounds good to me. Most people go with the V8TT setup on a MK4 but I want a nice single turbo. One of the few people that like turbo lag.
Thanks but like I said, I'm just being honest. There's a video on here of a MK4 with a 1uz and a vortech s/c on a dyno with like 9lbs of boost. Video quality isn't great for the dyno portion but it clears up at the end and they show the engine with the s/c kit.
Do you still have this car? How many miles were on it when you hardened and supercharged it? How many has it done now? What kind of mpg does it get? Do you have dyno figures? Thanks in advance if you can answer any of these questions:-)
