Change that transmission fluid every 60k-80k. It will last a very long time. Too many used 570’s on the market with over 150k with not a single transmission fluid change, limiting the life of the vehicles to low 200k’s. Could have lasted much much longer if this was done by previous owners
So you are owning this car for 10 years and telling us it has locking front and rear diffs. SURPRISE! it doesn't. And it's not an air ride suspension. It's an AHC suspension. Bet you didn't even change the ahc fluid in all those years
Thanks, you know more about my car than me👍 I got a 2020 a few years ago, I wanted to get a new last of the greats suv before they ruined it with a twin turbo v6😢 I have 44,000 miles on my 09, and 10,000 on my 2020. I still love this vehicle, it's solid.......
@@BALAZSER1 Congrats! I have an 09 LX570 with 150k miles. The other car is a q4 etron for daily purposes. The twin turbo v6 really is a dissapointment. Good luck with your cars! Hope they serve you well
@maxe9220 Awesome!! That LX570 will last you the rest of your life, if properly maintained 👏👍 I don't know much about the etron, but it looks cool!! Lexus really messed up I think with the LX600, but, maybe I'm wrong about it, I'm not buying one though lol😂
Good effort and general information, Not sure a flat battery is problem given the age of the vehicle, would running out of gas/fuel be a problem you would also mention?
Fortunately the battery is the only major problem I have had lol!! Also, you are right, the range is not good, but, I'll sacrifice range for reliability any day...
Thanks man. This is really cool. I am in the middle of a search for a 2013. Looks like the perfect vehicle for the Family desert adventures and my business travel rig.
No worries!! It's a great reliable vehicle that's one of the most capable on the planet 👍 The only 2 cons are, its thirsty lol, and the Lexus batteries, I put a better battery in mine, because the Lexus batteries died on me a few times...
why does everyone seem not to know that the LX DOES NOT HAVE a Air suspension, it has a Hydraulic Suspension, and the GX model has air suspension only in the back.
I know now lol!! It is a more reliable system from what I've read. I still have the vehicle, haven't had any problems with the system, but, It's still under 40 thousand miles too....
I’m in the market for an SUV. My first pick is the (2013-2015)Lexus RX450 hybrid/RX350 (don’t like the current body styles of the RX), Honda Passport, and Nissan Murano. The Lexus GX460/LX570 is growing on me. Since I’m a teacher, the Lexus GX460/LX570 might suit me better since I haul a lot of my classroom supplies back and forth to school. I know the GX/LX will LAST me a long time. It looks like the GX/LX is on the top of my list now.
Woah only 24k miles. Wth. Why has it sat so much? Not a cheap car to park. I mean 124k miles would still be low miles! It sure does look good. Great video
Yeah I've taken very good care of it! I drive it every 2 or 3 weeks, so it doesn't just sit, thats one of worst things you can do to a vehicle! I work from home, so I don't really drive all that much, and I drive my truck most of the time. Thanks for watching, and your comment!!
After experiencing hail damage on my Lexus, I now drive nothing more than a decent cheap car. It’s saved me a lot of stress and I can now park without worrying about door dings
@@BALAZSER1 Thank you! I plan on doing that as soon as possible. I have a reputable Toyota/Lexus mechanic locally. I'm afraid the dealer would charge far too much for this service. I'd like to do it myself in the future after learning how.
If you're using remote start it's in your view and you're planning on getting in and leaving within moments. You would think that would prioritize the driver over done unlikely scenario where some thief is hiding in the bushes waiting for you to remote start it and steal it 😂 I think your theory makes zero sense
@@BALAZSER1 okay thanks. For some reason I had always thought that the vehicle has a centre diff, while the traction at the rear and the front are modulated by pulse braking/abs
