I just bought a Lexus mirror from my local dealer for $480. (over list price) I had trouble putting the mirror in. I was afraid to break it. Even though this is a slightly different mirror from mine, I learned several tips. I followed them and I could install my new mirror. Thank you. I could not have done the installation without this video.
Your showed good ideas ;-) I like sticking blue tape so that it will be easier to give pressure on exact point Using cloth to pull out broken mirror. Thanks for uploading video.
Great vid.But Lexus and other mfrs need to stop gouging their customers. Over 100 bucks for your mirror.I just replaced the exact same thing on my 460 and the mirror,(my cost mind you,I bought it at cost,I own a body shop) was $420.00 just for the mirror. So the average consumer, going to the dealership to replace that mirror would spend 500 bucks for the mirror and another 100 or 2 for labor for that mirror glassOver 600 bucks for a 4x4 inch piece of glass.I get it,it has sensors,it has a heater,it's still pure bullshit to charge customers that kind of money.Consumers need to start letting automotive manufacturers that gouging consumers is wrong. There's nothing wrong with making money, greed is bad business
Yes,I understand, the 460 was a waste of money for another part of my business.First impressions mean everything, though, but thats the only reason I lease that POS. They chew up rubber,in fact I think Toyota designed them to do it,seriously,to get a spiff from the tire mfg,IMO.Scratch my back etc.. played the tire game with them, had to replace all four of the OEM tires(they'll ding you on the lease return on highlines if you dont) and of course,I didnt follow the warranty instruction for rotation and alignment,so sorry pal, cash or credit. So after they replaced them, this time,I followed the warranty specs to the T and now we're fighting over it.I have all the records and RO's from the dealership, their butts are pinched down so tight, you couldnt drive a pencil up their ass with a sledghammer.Incidentally MY driver is a Jeep Gladiator, great truck, had it since I was 23
Hello, very good video! I have an SC430 and live in England so need the heated mirrors to work this time of year! The driver's side mirror (right of the car) has stopped heating. Do you know what I need to do to repair this? The malfunction has previously gone un-noticed as I only usually drive the vehicle in the warmer months but recently, I have started using this particular motor car once a week in order to prevent the battery from going flat. I have to drive the vehicle on a dual carriageway within minutes of leaving my home and really need the heat feature to function to ensure safety when overtaking other cars. Any advise?
nice video . So your mirror also comes with dimmer too? i assume if its heater then dimmer is there too. And i didnt know that the whole with paint colour can be flipped on the other side too. i thought it can only be closed and open ( for tight parking space) in one direction..umm
