I've been pretty positive about the new Supra but I'd have to agree with you. The RCF is even roughly the same length as the last Supra. Great car and I hope to be able to afford the track edition some day.
James, you actually achieved somewhat of an 1-man 'Top Gear' show which is actually better than Top Gear. If you add your editor boy to it, and double the time with some 'stig-like' benchmark laps on a track, then this show is gonna explode even further than it already is. please keep making this show and never tune down.
Beacause people like you would say that it's the same car and that they are cheap. That they should have develope a totally different car cause that looks like RC F track Edition
@@carnivore6337 keep saying that when the BMW stays in the maintenance shop every day after a few months while the Toyota is running like new 20 years later 😂
I work at Lexus, 3 days ago a costumer came and ordered two of them. He was around 50ish years old. He also pulled up on an LS F sport 😉 don’t know what my man is up to but it’s amazing knowing that some people actually love these things. RCfs are stupid gorgeous and the feeling behind the wheel is very different from every other car. Great vid lad
We just found a unicorn RCF! I wanted the 2022 Fuji Track edition RCF when I initially started looking at them because of how badass they are BUT didn’t have the $90k asking price 😢so started looking at other year models. Weeks of searching, and all there seemed to be out there were models with 3+ owners and 60/70k miles and up and most had slight damage indicated on their car faxes. 😮Not to mention the sales price was still $60/70k for anywhere from 2016-2020 model , and I just couldn’t see paying that much for one with previous damage or 5 previous owners and 70k miles. After weeks of searching and endless emails from car sales people 😮I was just about to give up……. I looked up and said please Jesus there has to be a unicorn hidden away out there w/all low miles, 1 owner, pristine condition, and isn’t hella expensive! Then I found her, now it’s a 2015 model whereas I was hoping to get one 2017 and up BUTTTTT I couldn’t believe it!! I found a 2015 model with 13k miles, carbon fiber hood and roof, kept by the one 55 year old owner in the most pristine garage I had ever seen (u could eat off the floor it was so clean) NO ACCIDENTS NO DAMAGE AND got her for $46k (originally he wanted $50k but I was able to get him down a bit)🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I’ve had her a week and still learning all about the bad assed-ness she has to offer 😂 And how to control all of her hp. I am going from a 2014 Monogram limited edition Scion TC manual to this RCF 😮She is a beast! I have gotten her up to 150 and she still had more to give! ❤it!! Never give up, if your looking , cause unicorns do exist 😊
Not expensive but more along the lines of how many more stupid subscription services do we need to pay for? That’s what makes it annoying, something so good turning into shit.
The RC-F seems impressive, but it’s hard for me to trust this since it’s sponsored. But no one, to me at least, provides all this emotion and happiness in their videos, and I’m willing to make an exemption. Congrats on 2 million btw, I hope that you’re channel keeps growing bigger and bigger over the coming years.
If LFA is one of the best sounding cars ever produced (no ? needed, because it is the BEST) this is one of the best sounding car reviews ever produced :) just perfect - from audio, to video, to info given. Keep it up - rock on !!!
@Vinny Booboo Still better than making a nearly 1:1 copy of BMW Z4 and calling it a Supra. Like it or not, it is the most known japanese car of the 90's, it became legendary by now. If it would look closer to that Lexus, it would at least be fully japanese and made 100% by Toyota (and would also have more HP than the previous model, unlike the new Supra)
@Vinny Booboo Yeah, I get your point, yet why make a niche non profitable car that doesn't live up to it's name and is a failure to those whom it was made to appeal?
Look how there's no drama about the GT86, even though it is badge enginnered Subaru BRZ. It's not a legendary name. You don't call a badge engineered car with such a name that holds certain depictions. And yes, I do know that it's more different from Z4 than GT86 is from the BRZ, but I hope you know what I mean.
@Vinny Booboo Yeah, people are talking, but most of the voices are rather critical towards it. Anyways, 99% of those commenters won't buy that car. Talking just in the terms of picture of Toyota, it is a grand failure.
The RCF is one of my favourite cars. I just regret that the track edition didn't played the full game and stopped somewhere in the mid. I would have added the ability to setup camber and toe options, Instead of having the electronically adpative suspension. Also having coils that you can setup in height, bump and rebound is not something crazy for a track car, and would have benefitted unsprung mass. Also, when going for low weight, you can delete the crazy heavy heated and cooled seats. They are extremely heavy, especially at Lexus that makes them so sturdy. A pair of carbon seats would have been an upgrade for THIS particular car.
Vsauce2 sent me. Good video! But I gotta say: _It just so happens that your friend here is only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead._
In the LFA video he said the car didnt sell so well and kinda shelf-ed due to the time it was released but here he says the LFA was one of the best selling cars? O.o
And it would have costed a +100k dollars ^^. lol. Actually, the move of Toyota wasn't stupid. But they choose one of the worst partner to stick with in this collab. I'm sure Nissan, Subaru and Suzuki would have loved to work on a modern I6 engine and the public would have had accepted this engine better. Even if the B58 is basically a BM-Yota engine, it's impossible to convince the peoples about it. They will stop at the BMW badge and not look further.
Remember? Jeremy Clarkson didn't really liked the RCF but weirdly he liked the GSF (grand tour S1) .....,...so Lexus should also make a GSF track edition.........just a wish💕💕
"Low gears" and "high gears" is the term most racers use. A high gear for the rear end is 2.73 and a low gear is 4.11. Short gears refer most to close ratio transmissions where the decrease in RPM is not very much between shifts because the gears are close in ratios. Long gears refers to greater differences between 1-2, 2-3 and so on. The RPM will drop a lot once you shift up. No one that I know in drag racing uses the term high gear ratio or low gear ratio. It's either you have low gears or higher gears in the rear end. Sometimes people will say they have tall gears in the rear end and that mean they can turn lower RPMs on the freeway and the reverse is true if you have low gears in the rear end.
Toyota: I partner with Bmw to make the supra Lexus: Hold my beer Toyota: what are you doing? Lexus: I made the RC F Track Edition Toyota: Excuse me WTF !?
Toyota: We partnered with BMW to split costs so we can afford to built the Supra. Lexus: Lets use your budget to make more editions of RCFs and LC500’s LCF Toyota: what?? Lexus: what *Ironic moments in the Toyota Group*
Josip Tomas the RC-F has a V8 and every Supra has had an I6. A V8 Supra wouldn’t be a Supra to many, just like how many feel that the new Supra is just a BMW.
I agree with the sentiment. But the excuse is that: Toyota has a platform for V8s that it plans to sell in the future and share parts with its subsidiaries; Toyota has no stated plans for an I6 car/trim/etc to share the engine with a hypothetically internally designed Supra, so they bought a beemer engine.
@@Kildaer they didnt just bought the bmw engine but they actually developped it together, you think toyota would just go and put all those bmw parts in the supra without testing and improving them???!!
James, you are HELLA funny! But seriously, if Lexus had the commitment to drop the sweet sounding LFA V-10 in it, and kept the cost under $100K, Lexus would have a home run on its hands. As it stands, I’d call this one a solid line drive.
There’s a reason why Porsche took the paddle shifters off the steering wheel for thumb shifting because they realized it actually fucked over drivers who were shifting in and out of corners quickly because they’d be needing to shift up out of the corner and the wheel is still at 90 degrees but there hands are back at 3 and 9. That’s why most manufacturers have the paddles stay in the same place and even PORSCHE realized they fucked up when they had them move with the wheel.
the all great and powerful 1uz its just now coming into the spot light of the aftermarket. i think the 1uz with the right amount of attention will be able to make more power than the 2jz but thats just wishful thinking.
