This is beautifully sung and Ms Gencer was undoubtedly one of the divas of the 20th century, but I have to say that my own preference in this role is undoubtedly Ms Sills, who uses this as Donizetti would have expected, as a vehicle for some of the most stunningly beautiful and riveting bel canto coloratura singing. Brava.
