It was Leylah's best win in a long time. She hasn't been the same since the foot injury at Roland Garros last year. Hopefully she can have a good run there again and get back on the right track.
Finals and championship Leylah is who I love. I know the high level she can play on. She is figuring her game out and using doubles to refine parts of her game. Hopefully her strategy will bear fruit.
So happy for her since she somehow faces a strong opponent at the very early round all the time. And being so small is a disadvantage which requires a lot of both attitude and special skills to fight for. Best of luck for the next next next next and next ..rounds.
LEylah needs to focus on singles In Grand Slams..doubles take most of her energy and unable to sustain long rallies and longer rounds with more powerful singles players..she can do doubles in other tournaments.
@@roter13 I said in grand slams, other champions didn't play doubles during slams..its a fact, you do get exhausted, look at her petite Frame compare to Sabylanka.
I disagree with you; she's young. Secondly, one of the reasons for her playing doubles is to cope the mental stress that comes with playing tennis. Leylah is capable of beating anyone.
@@climatetest then disagree, Im not forcing my opinion on you, in fact you're forcing your opinion on me..she's been consistently losing and losing on 1st few rounds..exactly my point, she can beat them, but she needs to rest in between games.
She is such a shocking player! No idea how she beat Linette and then gets destroyed by Tauson( who plays mainly the ITF circuit). She is so inconsistent!
If you know tennis she has improved her serve. Now she needs to be more consistent 11 months after a really bad injury. She will be back in the top 20 in 2024.
