Leyland Atlantean SND508X - GM Buses 

Back in the day, the recognisable sound of a Greater Manchester Buses Leyland Atlantean, local identity, compared to the modern day stuff we have now.

Now thus brings back memories

used to drive these from Stockport early 90's, happy days, used to hate it at the time though :)

A few daring drivers used to floor the gas pedal in neutral! Engine screamed its guts out at around 3000rpm for less than one second (later models)! These buses were the only heavy vehicles capable of extreme red line death metal revving!

Many thanks! Yes, it was automatic, later in the film I drove her as a semi auto for abit of fun! I noticed the guy filming but his footage hasn't turned up that i'm aware of...

Contrary to the fleet number it carries these days, its correct number was 8508
