This is a 1978 episode of the Leyland Brothers that visits the extensive jade deposits discovered by Harry Schiller near Cowell in South Australia. Harry was my grandfather. Thanks to my cousin Lisa for sending me the file so we could share it here. Good memories!

this is a fantastic real life record of the identification, sourcing and production of black Cowell jade. And what about those miniature figurines and the sound that pods of jade make. Thank you so much for sharing this treasure!!!! What happened to your grandfather and the Cowell Mining Company? I bet there are some stories there!Who were the local people that cut and polished the jade?Many thanks Lucy
