I'm glad your injured member is ok. Goes to show you how important it is to secure ALL utilities ASAP. Here we Kind of have to wait for Ameren UE to secure the electric mind you SOME STILL pull the meter (UE (Union Electric) HATES it when some of my fellow brothers/sisters do this) & I'll agree it is a VERY dangerous practice best left to those who KNOW, are trained & have the tools to secure things in a safe manner..

he was released the following morning.. All is well and was back to fightin' fire that following night.

In scranton pa about ten yrs ago a firefighter got electrocuted in the bucket but died. Very sad...

why dont you use go pros? very soon i wil start rural fire fighting in australia and i would like to know if taking my gopro will just be suicide for the camera. you guys and gals do great work keep it up

Can these cams do any kind of live feed out? maybe help others on the outside see whats going on when the team enters?

i heard something about a breaker panel,, but he may have been putting a halligan or a pike pole in a bad spot. who knows

it would probably be on if you stay exterior, but if you go interior, it will melt the camera, they make firefighting cameras, thats the way to go

Technically electrocution is death by electric shock. If he did not die he was not electrocuted. Still no fun to be sure. Stay Safe.
