Wanton destruction of property, as usual with a fire department. At 5:20, despite the fact that the door was wide open, you could hear him breaking the glass in the door. Why? Now there is MORE damage to the property that the homeowner or their insurance will have to pay to repair. What an A55HOLE
Really don't think there was a need to cut up this roof...just added nonsense repair cost to owner's/insurance repair cost! I get it to cut inspection for fire spread but when you've already beat sky lights off and received very little smoke would it have been cheaper pulling a little interior ceiling to check for extension?
I am impressed with how truck company concentrated on throwing ladders for rescue and for interior crews to access if needed, but not hearing radio communications it was difficult to tell what kind of orders were being given regarding ventilation. It seemed like there was a lot of randomly ventilating going on by this one Truckie. My concern being an officer, unless it was well coordinated especially with fire personnel performing search and rescue on multiples floors there is a risk of opening too many windows and lighting off the structure. But without hearing communication I can't say it did or didn't happen!
What did we do to deserve firefighters and police (and other first responders I missed)? They put their lives on the line for everybody, whether they deserve saving or not
Who ever that is was rocking it. Strong work, no direction knew what to do when to do it. Credit to their department and the fire service in general. Example to follow.
Great video, and great job. No unnecessary smashing of windows, or ripping up the roof; just use common sense! Too often we see FF's just blindly following protocols, and wrecking homes. Be good, and be safe.
