Hey Brats!!!
The husband and myself decided to cave in and finally purchase the LG 86 inch 4k uhd smart led tv. Since it has been something that we have used for 2 weeks now I thought it was perfect to finally do a review on it and give you guys my thoughts on if it is worth the money or not. I'm currently using a 55inch and for one person it's plenty big enough but as soon as you add more people it's too small. I was looking at 75inch but was tempted to get this 86inch beast because why not 😂 It looks amazing!

GREAT VIDEO. I get my LG 86 Inch TV delivered on Saturday 12th August 2023 And can't wait to have it. So Excited. My biggest tv I have had up to now is 67 inches. The big tv's are now coming down in price. Maybe something over 100 inches in the future. I have had a projector also with 120 inch screen but a tv that size would be better at a good price.

Im seeing this for £1299 UK atm. I have a Denon X6700H receiver, with 2 extra external Emotiva power amps, running 13 speakers and 2 SVS subwoofers. I currently have a 75 inch LG. But this would be perfect, also the 120Hz refresh is great for gaming, I have a very powerful Watercooled PC I built for film editing, but is also very good for gaming. This TV at only £1299 is cheaper than the graphics card or the CPU in my PC. Plus it has built in Dolby vision and Alexa.

@@Wolf10awoooo. what state you in ? cause I can't find it anywhere under 1500 the least I seen it was 1749 without tax 1892.76 after tax I wish I found it under maybe you talking about the lg UM8500. I done bought it twice $1973 at Sam's club returned it cause it had a burnt pixel after 2 months returned it got a full refund and found it on Amazon 1749 same seller as the one from Walmart but amzon gives you 100 off

@@uptownsfinest1598 it was $1449 for Black Friday (bought one) at Costco and it came with $100 in Hulu credit and 3 years warranty from all state($100 on value). BJ’s sold it for 1449 as well but no Hulu credit or all state warranty. Now they jacked up the price to 1700plus. I bought one at $1449

Another note, I PC game at 1440@120hz and 2160@120 from a GTX1080 on this TV. Yup old Gen GPU's can 4k@120 just fine, just at 4:2:2.. 120hz feels on par with my TN gaming monitor. Text is clear on the screen BTW.

Great review and is a big help on helping me decide. I have one question, I have a Samsung in my bedroom and me and my wife like to use Rain Sounds with the black screen through RU-vid. The whole screen does turn off except the sound, now does this LG through the RU-vid app does the same? And do you have a PS5 or Xbox Series X connected? If you do have one connected, does it flicker the screen when turned on at first? Thanks again for the information and great video.

Hi dear!!! The LG does have a screen saver but it does not go fully black screen that I know of. The screensaver is like pretty soothing my earthy type animations I’m pretty sure you can change the images we have just never cared to. The sound does stay on though. Also, yes I have an Xbox x series I had it connected,but just bought a monitor for it it does not flicker the screen at all but the tv so damn big it’s hard to play games on it hahaha 🤣 hope that helps!!!!

I got mines in October already had a burned pixel , I ended up taking it back to samsclub and ordered another one its sitting in the box because I don't have no one to come help me mount it back . also the 1st one besides the pixel the simplink stop working so when I turned off my xbox series X it stood on and wasn't turning off with the xbox smh I hope the replacement doesn't give me any issues

I ordered the 75” one before looking at reviews.....there are a lot of negative reviews about this series tv (85) concerning the “ local dimming feature” It will be here in a day or so. Hope I didn’t mess up. Glad to see your review.... makes it look positive. Did you leave the local dimming on? Thanks

We have the automatic dimming on so it’s sets itself during the lighting going on throughout the day. Honestly some people are really tough critiques I have noticed we absolutely love the tv and have had no issues I hope you enjoy!😀 if you get a chance I would suggest going to the store to see it first and test it out they should have a display out

The UN8570 does not have Local Dimming Zones, Only the NANO series.... Now as for AUTO brightness control, at first I ran set 30 on backlight, now I run 100 with Auto Power Saving turned on..

Get some bias lighting for the back of the tv..... it'll help against eye fatigue, improve contrast and improve black level

My home have a lot of windows and a lot of natural light. Does this tv reflect well? My last tv was horrible. I couldn't even watch it during the day. Does this TV reflect well in bright rooms or rooms with a lot of natural sunlight.

I've debating on get the exact tv, but I see alot of light bleeding on the tv. Might be a deal breaker. Does it bother you, or do you even notice it?

I’ll be honest and say we don’t even notice at all I’m unsure of how much of a stickler you are so I wouldn’t want to recommend such an expensive tv to you and you be unhappy. The bleeding is very very light and really only shows when the black bars are there. Again, something I didn’t even pay attention to until I went to look for you:) I would suggest going to Best Buy or somewhere that sells that you can check it out for yourself and also I have read that you can fix it up a bit more if you watch some RU-vid videos. Other than that we are loving it good luck and keep me posted on your decision.

Just to note, the 86 uses an LG IPS panel and the 82" uses a VA panel from samsung.. I am split between these two.

I ended up going with the 86" IPS. I couldn't justify loosing the 4" extra for a VA. The IPS glow on blacks is a little annoying in dark night movies, but VA's have their own issues over an IPS. All in all, 86" size at $1450 makes up for it. 4k is sharp and clear anyhow. As for 'motion settings' the only mode I can watch anything in is 'Cinema Clear'.

i bought a 92 inch mitshubi dlp tv in 2012 spent to much about 2300 now the sound dosnt work and cant find any parts on line to fix it so now stuck with a huge paper weight so think will they have parts 10 years from now for these big expensive tvs and the answer will be no ,thats ok with a cheaper tv just replace but not with the expensive ones

Sorry to hear that but yup that is just how technology is these days sadly. We just always go into making big purchases knowing eventually they will just need to be replaced especially since fixing things up can be more expensive now than just buying a new one:)

🤣🤣🤣 yea it was def a chore getting it mounted that’s for sure. Our cousin owns a company and mounts TVs so he did it for us. I believe everything these days spy including the phone I’m typing to you on so I’m always aware no worries 😉 Also the tv is AMAZING in dark rooms,

How are the black levels of u watch a dark movie with alot of contrast. It looks like it has alot of light bleeding out the edge. Like the black bars on the bottom would be grey instead of black. But love the review! And subscribed !

To be honest the bleeding isn’t bad at all I think the way the light from the camera when I was filming it made it look worst than what it is, but the bleeding doesn’t bother or effect us when we are watching anything especially a dark movie at all. For you I would suggest maybe checking it out at a store for yourself if you are thinking about purchasing to make sure it’s good enough for you but for us it’s not a noticeable issue:) welcome to the family I appreciate you so much for joining 😀❤️

Mine will end up in my bedroom in a few years.. The IPS glow is definitely there above 30 backlight, but at this price point its really hard to beat.. Even the TV's that cost double have their own flaws.. IE daily random reboots on Sony's.. Ya no thanks.

Watching you from Germany, I liked your Video. Why you dont make a Video with the XBOX or Playstation to see how it performs ? This one costs in Germany about 1700€ it is like 2100 USD, so I am not sure to wait few months to get it, maybe it gets cheaper. Stay safe

i tried to get my friend to buy this tv he buy a smaller tv another brand name one problem who made the tv dont have a contract with spectrum cable it dont have the app to do wire less to get regular tv i ask about THE LG tv they told me LG don't have a contract with spectrum so you need to buy a device made by ROKU and hook it up to the tv so it do wireless and get the spectrum regular tv with out a cable going to the tv

I need to say this but once you go oled then its hard to go back to a led tv. especially when the contrast is so much better. This is a good deal but ugh decisions decisions.

@@BritBratReviews I made my decision. So i am going to just go OLED (again). Reason being I noticed a lot of the other TVs do support 4k 120 but only on 2 ports and one of them being eArc usable. The others are 2.0. An if you have a sound bar with eArc capabilities then you lose on of the ports an can only use one 2.1 port. This is critical for me because i have both next gen consoles an a sound bar that uses the eArc for Dolby Atmos sound. Currently the only way to get Dolby Atmos is through eArc HDMI connectivity so i would need at least 3 ports at 2.1. The LG C1 OLED has 4 ports at 4K120. You cant beat that! Plus the contrast and colors are amazing with zero bleeding.

Make sure you buy warranty mine is having issues..black screen with sound.. manufacturer warranty just expired its only 12 months parts and labor..

Be careful with this TV the 86-inch is known to have defective screens. Between 12 to 14 months, the screens burn out. If you don't have an extended warranty you will have to purchase a new TV. Check all reviews. Mine burnt out after 11 months of use. I tried to repair it but not worth the $1200 to do so. Reply
