For anyone watching this you DO NOT want sharpness on 0 with the switch. If you want the perfect amount set it to 10 but if you also want to enable super resolution (helps lower resolutions) you need 25 sharpness for it to make a difference. When it comes to other consoles and movies don't go above 10 just only the switch you can use 25 especially for super resolution.
@gebi151 sharpness nor super resolution add input lag and are not greyed out with input lag like most if not all are otherwise. I agree many other settings do like motion handling etc. I can see why you'd think SR does but sharpness is a baseline setting
@gebi151 do you have PC mode on? That's the only time it's greyed out but game response in console mode or otherwise it should remain. I also wondered about SR and input lag and remember having to search a ton about it and eventually found tests from 2020 that showed it was either nothing or negligible.
All is okay except of one big mistake: if you want the most accurate colors, you need to have the color temperature at worm around 40 -50. If you choose worm 0 -10, then your white color will be blue, green desaturated and red will become pink or purple. This is not about my personal taste but we are talking about measurements made with spectrofotometers. I know that at the beginning the colors at worm 50 look yellowish and greenish but this is only our perception. You need a week or two with worm colors and there will be no turning back to this ugly and artificial cold temperature, I promise you.
I don't use the gamemode for the switch because it's not necessary and i don't use it for competitive gaming online! I use ISF expert bright for daylight mode with these settings! -brightness 50 -contrast 85 -screen brightness 50 (standard) -dynamic contrast off -peak luminance high -Gamma BT.1886 -black level ((Auto) -motion eye care off Color settings -depth 60 -tint 0 -color range (Standard) -fine tune color enhanced off -white balance color temperature 0 Sharpness settings -sharpness 10 -super resolution off -noise reduction off -mpeg noise reduction off -smoot gradation off -trumotion smooth (looks like 60-120hz) And there you go you get a clean bright smooth image picture with these settings with not much input lag while gamemode is turned off!
Holy shit trumotion is absolutely incredible my motion sickness is gone, the game looks so much better. It's absolutely wild how good the interpolation is
@@lukecarlson6863 These settings are worth it for the switch on my ps5 i use gamemode because i don't want any lag while playing CoD for example, but with the nintendo switch gamemode is useless you don't need it! It's a home family console so without competitive gaming at least for me that's my opinion, but some people will use gamemode but the graphics quality is trash with it!
You are right. I tried a lot of settings and I was nerver satisfied. I tried your settings and it's far better. Never thought it would be better without Game Mode.
@@Lucifel05 Yeah this is by far the best settings you can get with the switch on a LG Oled tv, you have also a lot of space to tweak with the brightness between 50 to 100 Oled light! 👍
@@TheCorne87Enabling pc mode on the hdmi will help to lower the input lag, especially if you are not using game mode. It definitely makes it much less noticeable, but you are not able to change as many picture settings as you would normally be able to
I did all the settings the same as yours and it’s super blurry now… idk what to do. If I turn off game optimizer the input delay is too much, but if I turn it on everything becomes super blurry.
He's right use 25 sharpness but ONLY on the switch for ps5 and movies don't go above 10. Once you set 25 sharpness on switch enable super resolution (I use high). Super resolution doesn't really work unless you have 25 sharpness or more and it helps trust me.
So I've been looking online trying to figure out what was wrong with my switch and TV. Up until this point it has worked pretty great but for some reason the image just looked like crap today. I followed the instructions here and it didn't really fix the problem cause it somehow looked like it was at 240p or something silly. I just unplugged the HDMI chord amd plugged it back in and now it looks fine... I guess the cable was just loose? Is that a thing? The whole process was very frustrating. Sometimes I just have to remember the clasic IT trick of turning it off and on again... or in this case unplugging and plugging it back in.
@gebi151I would happily play with higher input lag if it means I can get a clearer picture. I would prefer to have as low input lag as possible, but I find the blurriness way too distracting to justify using game mode
@gebi151 I have a 42 inch C2 that I use on a desk, so I sit pretty close to the screen. I’ve noticed that because of this, everything is much blurrier than if it was across the room. It looks worse on the switch, but I can also see it on high resolution consoles like my PlayStation. The switch already doesn’t look great on the tv, but distance from the screen is definitely a big factor on the overall clarity
Thanks my dude, worked like a charm. Happy new year and greetings from germany 🍻 😉 Edit: I just fired up Hades after I applied your settings and... Dude... Thank you.
@Kephren several users reported frequent blackout issues (screen flashes black for 1-2 seconds every few minutes), with LG C3 OLED and a few people recommended using an HDMI 1.4 cable, and/or lowering the RGB Level to Limited on the Switch. Have you had this issue at all and if not, what kind of HDMI cable (which standard) are you using? I'm currently using 10ft long HDMI 2.1 ultra-fast certified cables.
How were you able to select game optimizer mode? That option is not available for me. EDIT: Nevermind. I just discovered that the LG C2 disables Game Optimizer whenever it is paired with the wireless WH-XB910N headphones. I also observed, while regaining command of game optimizer again, that the image quality is inferior using game optimizer than the Standard mode. Both modes share the same profile settings. Any idea why that is?
Hello! I have an LG nanocell and in game mode (nintendo switch) it feels like it has lower framerate than the HDR effect settings. In HDR effect settings it has more options in TrueMotion setting (Natural, Smooth etc) and that makes the game run smoother without loosing frames. Should I use this mode? or the tv will burn in faster? Thank you for your videos!
I don’t have the same LG TV but it is an OLED LG and I use truemotion and it does make the game on switch runs a lot smoother. One thing to notice is it have pretty bad input lag. Like real bad. Like almost .5 to 1 whole second input lag. And it should not burn the TV to answer your question. I had my last LG TV for 5 years and it also have truemotion. And I use my new one just because I want a better TV. But the old one work like how I first bought it. You can keep the same settings. It just come down to either use game mode to reduce input lag and get choppy ass frame rate. Or! Get smooth frame rate with sh$&ty input lag…
I just hot an oled and boy do yhese settings help make it look waaayyy better ok my oled T.V. before it looked foggy if that makes sense, now it's blear and color is great. So nice ty!
hello, i have an lg oled c1 tv with the switch, and i can't find the exact configuration and it makes my eyes tired. Here you configure the game mode, and in mine that mode is almost impossible to configure since several parameters are not noticeable Changes in the image. The image appears discolored. Also, if I don't have trumotion activated on switch, in games like Zelda when you move the character it doesn't feel fluid. What image mode should I use and what settings would be correct?
I have an LG C1 as well, and my settings are mostly similar to the video. That said, a few things to consider: • For me, there appears to be a mismatch between the black level setting on the TV and console. For whatever reason, if I set the black level to "auto" on the Switch, it defaults to "full" (which oversaturates the colors). To be safe, I would go into the brightness settings and set the black level to "limited," and then go into the TV settings on the Switch and set the black level to "limited" as well. This could be why it looks discolored on your end. • I see a lot of recommendations to set pixel brightness lower, and this might be more accurate for SDR content. That said, I find setting it to 70 is good for a standard bright environment. • It sounds like you turned on Motion Interpolation w/ the "True Motion" setting. It's all subjective in terms of preference, but I'd generally recommend turning this off. It can create some input lag and visual artifacts. Additionally, I don't think Zelda has any motion blur on the character animations, which can make running and fast movements look kind of janky with this setting on.
Only Filmmaker Mode. I recommend to chose this option and the manually decrease sharpness to 0 and you can adjust the brightness to your watching environment. That's all.
I have the same lgc2 tv and in game mode it is dark and looks like poop, blurry not bright colors and just washed out. My screen looks nithing like his and i set my settings identical!!! Wtf 😅 i am about to give up and just deal with input lag. Spent $3,300 on this tv just to have it look like garbage. Looks amazing with hdr, but not this yuck

Going with "Original" on aspect ratio is COMPLETELY WRONG. Just look how much you cut off the picture. The arrows in the corners have to be completely visible, and their point needs to sit exactly in the corners. If doing otherwise, the result is a slightly zoomed in picture which looks terrible. Make sure to go with "16:9", and deacivate the "Just scan" option on your LG TV. Terrible video..
