This worked great and fixed our problem. Thanks for posting this, RU-vid was the last stop before calling for repair service. I’m sure you saved us a bunch of money! FYI our problem started after my wife washed a heavy throw rug, the filter was full of the remnants from that rug.

Im service technician 13 years here in eastern Europe. LG appliances, especially washers with direct drive, are still the best so Im recommending them to the costumers. But some models should be designed better for technicians.. changing the simple drain pump needs mostly dissasembling of the whole front panel.
I replaced the filter with a new OEM one. As soon as I hit start on the machine, it still buzzes/vibrates by filter area (just like it did before). I still get the OE code. What's the next thing to try? I will mention this....the machine got a funny smell right before the OE came on the first time.
Hey there, we suggest checking the drain hose. It may be kinked or clogged, causing the vibrations and buzzes you are referring to. Ensure you are not overloading the machine as well. Let us know how it goes. ~TammyJo
@@LGUSA Drain hose is clear. The buzzing starts INSTANTLY. It's come from down by the drain pump motor. As I said, it was buzzing there before I replaced the motor, and it buzzes AFTER I put a new LG brand drain pump motor in.

I tried to pull the drain filter out and only the lid part pulled off and the spring screw fell out - i can’t seem to open the drain filter now . Help ??
