LG have always never been scared to try something new. LG's Flagship Line has been through a fuck tonne of change, every phone has something different to offer, and I respect LG for trying something new every year
the new trend in phones: glass on metal on glass build 18:9 ratio screen with curved off edges on the screen premium design and materials water proofing and resistance dual camera fingerprint reader USB type c hoping there's a headphone jack
Yep. Happy with it. All my friends got flagships $750-$1,100. I've had a phone since 1989... Been through all the latest. Lol. Gonna get a Note 10 by November 2020... Patience is the key.
P YRU a lot of reviewer just miss leading people giving people wrong information telling us it done have an app draw and it's there all u need to do is enable it.
SaNi TV right. this should have been titled "The first 10 things u do when u buy a NEW PHONE". Using LG G6 in the title gave the impression it would be about interesting/ helpful content specifically for G6 users
Believe it or not, in the past I bought all my phones in the stores and this essential function was performed by a clerk, without me paying attention to it. It a super helpful and quick/easy tip for me which prevented me from having to figure it out struggling through reading instructions.
Just saying, if you enable developer options by tapping on the build number a lot you can force all apps to be used with split screen with the option "force apps to be resizeable"
It's nice to see this kind of guides, I only missed the step 0. having the phone, I'm sure it will be pretty expensive or something so. Great video man
this might have sealed the deal for me after watching the how-to on the home screen choices and how the LG skin offers the familiar stock Android look. Thank you so much for this! I almost turned off this video because it was kind of plain lol.
Thanks for the good useful tips! I used to have Samsung phone S4, S5 until the camera broke on the S5. I switched over to the LG V10 last year and loved it until it became a victim of the dreaded "boot loop" (mfg defect). It's in for repair and I just purchased the G6. The screen is a bit smaller than the V10 but the speed and build of this phone is one of the best out there. Although I use Macbook pros and an iPad, I've never owned an iPhone and I don't regret it. The G6 is my daily driver.
Lg has the best personalization options I've seen in phones, which I really like, the templates are very good and change the icons, the keyboard and it's super cute! plus, I don't have to install sluggish third party apps. It's usually the first thing I do, though I like to continue changing them according to the season :P Also, the smart settings, I set it up to turn on wifi as soon as it recognizes I'm home, so I don't forget to do it and end up using my megas.
PRO TIP ... MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL A LAUNCHER WHAT SUPPORTS GESTURES (i recommend Nova, TSF or APUS) and definitely set up expand notifications when swipe down from homescreen and open app drawer when swiping up from the homescreen ... this will give you the optimal experience for that tall display as now you can expand notifications way easier
Oh my god, he got it totally wrong. He missed out on the first 3 things to do. #1 When it arrives in your mail, move your fat hands and unpack it from it packet envelope. #2 Examine the item from the packet to ensure that you indeed have received an LG G6 and not a sex toy or a trunki. #3 Once you've confirmed that it's an LG G6, again using your fat hands, use them and take the phone out of its box.
Can Google assistant open the GPS and set an itinerary on Maps if the location is already saved on a Contact page? You know for when you are driving and don't want to pull over to set up a route manually.
I'm thinking about it too but since the G6 was released in 2016 I'm worried about it aging badly so I'm going for the s8 or maybe even The mate9. Might even wait for the 10 series coming 16th October not sure. Comments and thoughts are welcome.
Once you move beyond the home screen do you have the option in the settings menu to get rid of the black box that surrounds the menu, home, and back buttons?
That type of SIM Ejector Tool did not come with my AT&T LG G6. No tool came with it. I have some on hand but the pin part is too big for the hole. Where can I buy that round ejector tool? I can't seem to find it anywhere on the net.
yeah and do it when you drop it and gets one or two bruises on the allumenium edges in back isi it all ok and i think i notice a little tiny space between glass and aluminium is that ok
LG skin is fantastic even from LG UX5.0 found on the LG G5, the G6 has even more fantastic LG UX 6.0 tha's my favourite over the laggy TouchWiz and the boring stock Android
Question! I don't receive any emergency alerts where can i find it to turn it on and off? My Lg G6 dont have emergency alerts on setting or anywhere. Please if you know comment below. Thank you!
He have smart lock, which means whenever the phone senses that is moving, it remains unlocked. If you place it on a plain surface and let it for like 5 mins it will lock itself and it will ask you for the fingerprint/ pin/ password, and I guess those pictures wont appear.
My biggest thing with launchers is....noneeeee of them are flawless....either stock widgets don't work or icons look different in two different spots or icons mismatch on homescreen. Rather just have what my g6 came with so everything looks matching and alike
Jack Graybird I have my lg g6 at 100% brightness. I use heavily for 8 hours a day, from 100% charge. at the end of the day I usually have 15 to 20% charge.
you need a proprietary tool to remove the ridiculously tiny sim? that's where this phone lost me.. makes me want to run screaming to find one of the last G4's.. like it isn't bad enough that the G6 has no app drawer..?! how does one even use a phone with no app drawer? how do you access the apps then, with a third party app drawer?? Thanks so so much for the info this has saved me a ton of money and the stress of buying a phone that would make me miserable.
+Xploding-turtle - I did, but I was sooo pissed about the things they've changed (and how stupid is it that the phone comes or if the box without the app drawer accessible?!?) what the heck would the point be in hiding it and making every single user have to go thru extra steps to unhide it? Makes no sense at all. But I find no need to your name calling - is one thing to call an inanimate object a name, but not a person. Furthermore, when I comment on a video it's actually directed at the channel owner, unless specifically directed at someone else.
What if I started the phone without the sim card in, and then put it in after, because it's saying that my sim card is not compatible, and I know it is. What am I doing wrong? When I put the sim card in do I have to restart the phone or go to some kind of option? This is so frustrating? Please, somebody?...SBN RESONATE
is it me or the LG G6's animation is kinda messed up? Some times it's a reveal-type animation like 6.0 and sometimes it's a slide up from the bottom-type of the older Android 5.0 xDD
I want a help manual not a tobacco auctioneer. ! There are some of us that are not geeks, but plain stupid when it comes to understanding what amounts to gooble de goop
