If this ends up being perfected and can wirelessly connect to the data on my smartphone this will be a real asset on any construction site I work at. No more lugging around a giant book containing hundreds of fregile giant format working drawings. No special work table to read the drawing on. No dedicated work drawing trailer. No more paying hundreds or thousands of dollars just to copy a set of drawings. Even if this roll up AMOLED display costs $10000 it will have payed for itself for a single individual contractor working on a large project. I can see tradesmen stepping over each other to get their hands on these just to read a set of working drawing on their terms and convenience.

this could be used to retrofit CRT's. it's the right size and it would mold to the shape of the screen. OLEDs behave like CRT's when it comes down to the fact that the light is generated by the display itself. just put some scan line filters on it for that retro effect.

We were just talking about needing a portable monitor for work that we could use for our laptops when we travel. We need bigger external screens but they need to be portable.
