Do you have good luck using lokring, I got it years ago and tried multiple times and never had good luck with them not leaking, I just braze all r600 units still
Why don’t you braze the process stub on in the truck before you bring it in I don’t care what anyone says it doesn’t matter how you bend it that 8-6 lokring is gonna leak I can pull those off by hand. Just a little advice that helped me out a lot and it doesn’t take any more time you can prep/sand down the compressor stubs and filter drier at the truck after you braze it on and wait for it to cool down a little
I will never attach any Lokring fitting to the compressor itself after the suction line leaks. I had to replace Embraco FF10HBK due to not being able to remove both suction and discharge lines, and after cutting them off, there weren't enough copper length left to rebraze.
They’re not brazed u have to buy a special locking pliers to apply them at least that’s what I use and it’s called Lokring. Because usually with r600 compressors you use this method because r600 refrigerant is highly flammable. I’d rather solder myself because lokrings are prone to having leaks. But if you are going to solder an r600 just make sure you purge the system really good with nitrogen. It can take a couple attempts to completely clear out the r600 refrigerant.
Don’t buy an LG. you’ll be lucky to get 8 years out of it. I almost got 7 out of mine. The last one where I was renting an apartment, the landlord got 5 out of it. Had to replace it. Now I have to replace this POS
