Hey! The air fry paraphernalia should be sold with the stove- that’s a no-brainer. What if a fridge came with no shelf? Anyway, I couldn’t even find an LG rack so I had to buy a Frigidaire rack. Thankfully it fits.
You can buy them at Best Buy for like $50-60, I unfortunately bought mine from lg online and it was about $75 ish because bestbuy was sold out, (shipping include in the price). However I totally agree why sell an air fryer oven without the air fryer rack!!! They could at lest swap out one of the other racks of it would cost too much to add it in.
You don’t need the tray. We just got a new LG oven with the air fry feature and have used a baking sheet we already had…dark, nonstick with low sides (they also state using this type of pan in the manual). Everything we’ve cooked has come out wonderful.
@@fairychick77 Thanks very much for sharing your experience as it is very helpful. We just got a GE and they also recommend a dark sheet pan as well. And NO it did not come with an air fryer basket.Ugh.BTW after reading other reviews it seems like cooking fresh meats such as wings or bacon the cleanup time is not worth it .Have you tried them?
The only lg products I've had is two lg phones and they were awesome so now I want a lg oven everything lg because lg is just such an awesome company and make amazing products I'll forever live to love LG and support y'all love the company by the way
These instructions are odd because the manual clearly states not to use aluminum foil in the oven, to avoid arcing. I use foil underneath the kind of tray that has a top, but only because the foil is hidden by the slotted top.
You can put an aluminum tray on bottom shelf or rack directly under and cooking shelf to catch drips just not at the very bottom of the oven, the blue part
I've got an electric range, and I have to say that the Air Fry mode works poorly. It literally takes 3X longer than package instructions say, and never gets the food crispy. I came here to see what I'm doing wrong, but seems like it just doesn't work that well.
So sorry to hear this! Unfortunately we do not have customer service on RU-vid. Please reach out to our support team on FB or Twitter (LGUSSUPPORT). Thanks! ^Emma
Air Fry has faster fan circulation, higher temp, and no preheating. Convection lower fan speed, lower temp, preheating and better suited for roasted meats , pies, cookies and pastries.
I cannot find a LG tray! It’s discontinued. How ridiculous considering I just bought this stove today not realizing that. It should be included for the dang price!

I plan to use air fryer for onion rings today for the first time in my new LG oven. I got the air fryer rack with it. After reading all the negative reviews, I’m worried. Crossing my fingers! Oct 3/2024 Heated air fryer to 400. Put onion rings in for 7 min, not cooked. Another 3, not cooked. Just warm. Turned convection on, after it was heated to 350, cooked rings for 7 minutes. Soft. Heated broil, Broiled on high for 4 min, still soft. What’s going on??? This is my new range!!
Hey there! We're glad to hear you're trying out the air fryer rack. The delightful aroma of onion rings is simply unbeatable, especially when they're crispy! We're always here to support you at any time. If you need help or have questions, please contact us on social media @LGUSSupport. We're here to help! ^Joslyn
Hello! There, We’re pleased to inform you that you can indeed use silicone pan liners in a convection or air fryer. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Wishing you a wonderful day ahead! -Mark.
Directions here seem clear but when bought it no-one understood you didn't need a broiler pan if you got the fry pan it seemed and having to buy a power cord for the oven separately is like having to buy wheels for a car separately. Oven works well week in so far.
@jodi. Turkey is not suitable for air fry mode. Just use regular oven. 325° about 20 minutes a pound uncovered. Use a thermometer 165° in dark meat. Cover and rest one hour before carving. USE a thermometer please.
I just got an LG air fryer oven this week and the fan does not turn constantly through cook cycle and cook times are about 3x longer than recommended. Could I be doing something wrong?? I’ve read through the owners manual at least 3x and I don’t know why it’s taking so long to cook everything
@@williamfoley3117 I’ve not gotten any answers but since I switched to their air fry rack, it seems to be working better. I think doing the cooling rack inside the cookie sheet was blocking air flow. I still burn myself like 7/10 times tho lol! And I don’t like that the rack they sell doesn’t come with a tray to catch drippings because a cookie sheet is much smaller and it makes a mess
@@whenXamberXsparks I have the same issue. It is taking 3 times as long as the baking time. But I do have the LG Air Fry Rack. baking works, the temperature is correct. I have used the same food products (fries and chicken nuggets) in smaller units and it cooks at the correct time. This LG electric range doesn't. I notice that the fan never turns. but it does turn when the option is set to convection. So the fan works. This is a new range and been installed for one day. Can anyone help?
@@garycasper2330 I don’t know if it’s a help, but we just bought this stove and the salesperson said there is essentially no difference between using the air fry and the convection. See if trying convection will fry your foods. Just a suggestion. I am getting ready to use the air fry for the first time. If it’s not ok, I’m calling repair or the extended warranty people.
I have electric leg with air fry mode and it doesn’t cook things well at all, end up switching it to convection bake because it just doesn’t get food cooked as quick or crisp
So sorry to hear this! Unfortunately we do not have customer service on RU-vid but someone on our FB or Twitter will happily help you with any issue you are having with your LG appliance (@LGUSSUPPORT). Thanks! ^Emma
We were going to buy one of these but after the experience we had with LG customer service we'll never buy from them again. LG products are fine but if you have to deal with customer service it's a total nightmare.
That is so true. Prior to installing my LG oven, I spent almost 2 months trying to get somebody from their customer service Dept to answer my question about clearances between the oven and the cabinets. They actually refused to answer my question. Clearances are addressed in the user guide, but the diagram and wording were so vague even my contractor couldn’t figure understand their instructions.
I didn’t know to put a cookie sheet on the rack below and now I have grease pooled on the bottom. Is it okay to use a oven protection sheet on the bottom of the oven?
Hey there! We completely understand how important the cleanliness of your oven is to your everyday cooking and we'd be more than happy to look into this. So we can determine if it's best to use an oven protection sheet, please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport with your contact details, model and serial number ^Anthony
Having to put the basket on an oven rack with pan several positions below results in great cooking but horrible grease stains on the oven rack! Please provide a full size side to side air fry basket that doesn't require using an oven rack to support it. The oven rack cleaning can only be done safely outside with oven cleaner and that's a massive fail!
Thank you for your feedback about the grease stains caused by using our air fry basket on the oven rack. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. We'll identify the best solution for you. For further assistance, please send us a direct message on Facebook or Twitter at @LGUSSupport. We'll be glad to help you further. Thank you for choosing our products, and we appreciate your patience..
Hey there! We're really sorry if you've had any trouble with the air fry mode on your LG Range. If you could just send us a direct message on Twitter or Facebook with all the details about the issue, we'll be more than happy to assist you. Our team is here to help and we appreciate you choosing LG.
I also just bought an LG oven with air fry. I am soooo disappointed with the air fry. Cooks very slowly. After 29 minutes trying to cook waffle fries I gave up. Not only tgat but oven not even a month old and the instaview feature light for oven is not working. NO MORE LG PRODUCTS FOR ME!!!
Too bad LG styled selling this rack style tray. The new version is just a basket that sits on top of a rack. So now you have to clean the tray, rack and drip tray.
We'd recommend starting at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. However, the perfect cooking time depends on the amount of wings you're cooking! Feel free to send us a PM on social media (@LGUSSupport) with your model number. We'd like to help you get that perfectly cooked crisp! ^Chris
Hi, Cliff. Are you seeing any error code on the unit? Or having an issue like not heating? Please send us a private message and we'll be happy to assist and answer your questions. Thank you. ^Van
What a great marketing scam. It’s NOT an air fryer. It’s what we call in the UK a Fan oven and 95% of all ovens sold here are fan ovens. This will not be faster than an air fryer. This will not be cheaper to run than an air fryer. 😂
not one person knows what an otg is. Also, all fans make noise... sooo.... maybe get a deep fryer? Those make bubble sounds though. Or maybe don't put an airfryer next to where you sleep or absolutely can't tolerate the sound of wind for 15 minutes.
Air Fryer Vs Convection Oven: Which One Is Better? May 16, 20206 CommentsOn Air Fryer Vs Convection Oven: Which One Is Better? Pin Share This article will be looking at air fryers and comparing them to convection ovens. So if you want to know what’s the difference between air fryer and convection oven, keep reading. We’ll go over the similarities and differences in both as well as what kind of foods can be cooked in each. To begin with I’ll go over how each appliance works. Contents [show] How do convection ovens work Convections ovens are basically regular ovens with a fan on the inside. They work by using the normal convection currents created by heated air to move the hot air through the oven and cook your food. The fan inside the oven helps to circulate the air more evenly to eliminate hot spots or areas of cooler air. This helps the food cook faster and more evenly. How do air fryers work Air fryers work in almost the exact same way as convection ovens. The difference is in the fans. The air circulating through an air fryer is moving much faster than the air moving through a convection oven. The air is directed downwards through a heating element. It circulates around the food on all sides. Once it hits the bottom of he cooking compartment it bounces back up around the food and to the top again. So the feature is slightly better than convection. 🤔
