We are getting one for our daughter (age:7) - so she can have a tv in her room that can be used elsewhere in the house when she isn't home (like the kitchen or in the nursery). It's a way to have a tv in a kid's room SOMETIMES but not all the time!!
Thanks for the video! LG lost me with the height and battery life. I guess they and the competitors will make better models as the basic idea is very good. The size of the display and the mobility is what I like about it.
Reminds me of that in the beginning of Tom Cruise’s “Vanilla Sky,” except it doesn’t move around anywhere and the TV set is black. The one movie that predicted this future TV set
Dude! There's a a new version called the Standby Me Go! It's a suitcase version of that display! I would love to see you review it! Amazing review of this video!
Thanks for a comprehensive review! I am thinking of getting this for myself as a graduation gift. Love the idea behind it. I am wondering do you think they will come out with a higher resolution?
You missed another use option. Anyone that lives in a condo and wants to sit outside to watch TV on their balcony without have a power cable running across your small 7' by 10' urban balcony. Great for downtown urban living in mid rises and high rises.
Love your review, but you didn't plug anything into the HDMI? Does the Touch Screen work on say Windows 11 or a Mac when you mirror it? You totally forgot the HDMI port and USB port.
HI Thank you for the information. I also want to know, if the screen could be touched by using Lg pen. And could i connect the Ipad with the Screen. Thank you in advance
Im pretty sure if you cast your screen it will be mirrored. If you use the HDMI in the back then you will enable to see it in windows display settings to extend it.
HAVE A question sir and ty for this Awsome tutorial, Clash of clan is a playstore game that I have love for 8 years, My tablet that i own is getting old and i have always wanted bigger tablet or monitor. Does this play playstore games well or not really, Have a great day and thank you again for this video
I would love it. Dont have tv in home. Watching netflix on laptop. So I would move it to sofa. And its beautiful design. All other stands are ugly. Unfortunately its nit sold in Europe? Also to monitor only 1080 resolution😥
currently use roku on non-smart tv. Can I load any channel I want...like "faith and family" or is it limited in streaming channels? Also - is the "material" on the back wash/wipeable?. If it is just fabrice I can imagine it will look terrible in a short amount of time. thank you.
If it’s apps you want to install on the TV, it will be whatever is available on LG’s webOS, which to be honest is quite limited compared to android TV. For Roku, they do have more offerings but mainly apps for the US market.
They should make this a 27 inch tablet. With the stand and everything. With enough CPU for gaming. Imagine that. Gaming on a 27 inch in bed while not needing to hold a giant tablet, while it's on a stand.
Can it be used for zoom / teams meetings ? If I connected / mounted my phone and ised airplay so i could use as a “monitor” i would love a set up in my gym area for clients so we could interact or record so i can see what my content looks like in a larger scale
How does move around? Is it on wheels or no? Since I'm in a wheelchair, wheels would make it easier for me to move it around. Also, can you hook up coax? That's what I wanna use it for. RJ
It has wheels underneath. As you are in a wheelchair keep in mind you need to set it up (you only need screwsdrivers). It has no coax cable compatibility only hdmi and usb
The LG StanByME does not have a built-in camera and it doesn’t support an external camera for video calls. However, it does support screen mirroring from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
To change the location setting on your LG StanbyME, follow these steps: Swipe down from the top of the screen. Touch and hold the “Location” option. If you don’t find “Location,” tap Edit or Settings. Drag the “Location” option into your Quick Settings.
I bought one as well and the only thing I can do is hook it up to my fire stick and watch everything from there, Netflix, Amazon prime, and search the web
@@gen-x_dude actually bought it on FB market lol for cheap. Like new. I didn’t even know until I got it home to setup it up. Can’t do nothing but RU-vid and surf the web. Korean model doesn’t have all the stuff that American version does Netflix etc etc. But I just end up buying the one from LG during the restock 2 weeks ago or so. So now I have both models. Lol
It's kinda cool, I could see myself using it for RU-vid music tutorials learning guitar, piano or ukulele, but at Costco Canada it's $1300. Hard pass at that price. It's a low-res monitor on a stand. It's not worth more than $400 to me. I'm not a fan of LG products either. I own two and both have failed. A fridge and a monitor. I won't ever buy LG again. All my Samsung gear is going strong, 10 and 15 yrs old.
It's a touch screen using WebOS, so if there are still games for WebOS, yes. I used to have a POS HP Touchpad that used WebOS and I had a great marble game on it called Sparkle.
Nice tv but since it’s an LG tv I don’t think you are able to get paramountplus on it though unless you use the airplay feature from your phone or tablet on it or not though.
I wonder how it is running emulators so I can play Playstation 1 PlayStation 2 Playstation 3 NES Sega on and on and on but can it handle GameCube if it can handle GameCube I'm in I'm looking for something like this that I can run emulators on and play every console if it can at least run GameCube and PS2 then you should have no problem running any other lesser system through emulation and if you can do that I'm in and I'm buying one
My friends think I'm a wizard because I can play every system all the way up to the PlayStation 4 on my phone with a PlayStation 4 controller hooked up to it running on my TV through USB HDMI no lag on playing literally PlayStation 4 PlayStation 3 PlayStation 2 PlayStation 1 PSP PS Vita Nintendo switch Nintendo GameCube NES Super NES Sega Genesis Nintendo 3DS all on my phone you don't need a concert anymore as long as you got a powerful Android phone and a wireless Xbox controller or PlayStation controller you have a system download emulators go to a ROM website download ROMs open up the emulator open up the ROM and play it and if you get the Razer Kishi version 2 you just now turned that phone into a awesome handheld that can play any console then when you get home you can hook it up to your TV just like the Nintendo switch and play Nintendo switch games when the Nintendo switch was released the processor was already five years old why they won't update the processor in the Nintendo switch I have no idea I thought the OLED model would have at least a better processor so a new Android phone will blow a Nintendo switch out of the water with Graphics capabilities and emulation why buy a Nintendo switch when you could buy a tablet and some kind of tablet controller and make that a switch it looks like a switch to I have an 8 inch Samsung tablet with a switch Lite controller attached to it it honestly looks like a switch and people think it is until I'm like nope I can play switch games on it though
