Great review! Thinking of buying these as there's a massive sale going on. Just wanted to know if this model has multipoint connectivity option. I've been struggling to find good TWS Earphones that have multipoint connectivity as I'd like to connect my phone and laptop simultaneously to the earphones.
Appreciate your support Shreekrish! I was able to connect one earbud per device but not both. If you search around you can even get the FN6 with UV Light at the same price point of the FN4s. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!
Here they are 30 bucks, i use tronsmart spunky pro's but i wanted a sound ugrade and dont know if that's the case.....no qi charging also...witch i dont use at the moment so ..but still
@@juriaanoussoren Haven't had a chance to test any Tronsmart wireless earbuds yet, but in my opinion, the FN4's are a solid deal at $30. Thanks for watching!

@@YnnahBossVlog I had to select "forget LG HBS-FN4" under Bluetooth Settings and pair with the earbuds again before it finally connected with the app. This was with an iPhone 7 Plus...
I got these by accident, I ordered a tv but cancelled the tv because the reviews were poor. They still delivered the headphones which were supposed to be free. I forgot all about them and now being charged lol. Tried them today and I think they are really good. I’m used to skull candy push so these are like a tech upgrade in comparison. Thank you for this video. I learned a few things 🤙🏼
The bass on this is great, contrary to what is stated here. There is also no hiss. The statement about noticing 'no difference with the ambient sound because the buds do a great job of canceling out background noise', illustrates why this review is in reality, poor. The ambient sound is the opposite of noise cancelling. External sound is piped in, not cancelled out, when the ambient sound feature is used. That error is just unforgivable in a review. The ambient sound feature does work. Not as well as high-end Sony over-ear headphones, which is the only comparison I can personally make, but it is effective . The 3 star rating is frankly, disproportionately harsh. As is the commentary about bass ( yes, I am repeating myself, but it is a point worth making twice!). I am very much a bass head and I was blown away. I intend to purchase the current top of the range lg Buds because I was so impressed with these and I want to have better battery life for my own use purposes. The battery life on these is decent, charging time is decent, but personally I am used to longer intervals between charges and simply want to maintain that. These are FANTASTIC earbuds, don't believe the negative hype. I would give these 4.5 stars.
This was one of our first wireless earbud reviews and by no means is a perfect one and for that we apologize. Your comment regarding the ambient sound feature is accurate as its main function is to allow more background noise rather than cancelling it and the feature actually does a serviceable job. Regarding the rating, we feel that with its overall features, 3 stars back then was pretty fair considering their initial $100 price tag. After using for over a year, we feel the same regarding their bass output and still consider it an area of improvement. Nevertheless, they're a great deal if you can find them at discounted prices like many viewers have recently commented. We truly feel there's no negative hype in our reviews; we're just trying to give our honest opinion. We appreciate your feedback, O S and thanks for watching!
I am thinking of getting either the FN4 or FN6. The FN4 is on sale for $25 now which i think is good value. I like the FN6 UV light too. But I think I might just get the FN4 if sound quality is same between the two models.
@@manwell235 Hi. I cannot comment on the FN6 as I haven't tried them. I did buy the FP9 in addition to the FN4 and now they are the only headphones I use. I think if you can get the FN4 for $25 then you should snap them up.
This is the first set of wireless earbuds I have bought. I wanted to listen to podcasts or music while walking my dogs. They give me walk rage! Cutting in and out for most of the walk and they don't stay in my ears very long. Super frustrating since I didn't go for a cheap option. I came to this review hoping to find a solution but no mention of this issue in the video or comments :(
@@jsp2349 Even without testing them I would say the CX400bt as long as you can afford them. There are decent and affordable TWS options out there. Thanks for watching and please support our channel by subscribing.
Got it yesterday, but the sound quality when connected to my laptop was terrible, it sounds like the electric was leaking inside the earbuds. I loved the design of this one but I have to return it today :(
These buds works well with few phones like iPhone, Xiaomi, etc and sounds crackling with most others like my Samsung TV, Sony z5 compact, etc. Pathetic software bug. Bcos it sounds way cool in my iphone. And the exact opposite on Sony. It's a quality control issue
I would say they are a steal if you can buy them at $40 bucks. With the newer models out, you could also find the FN6 at a heavily discounted price as well. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!
Sorry for the late reply B ertamil. Unfortunately, the FN4s need their case to initially pair with a device. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!
Hi, Have you been able to connect the earbuds to the app before or is it the first time? Even though you can't use the app, do the earbuds still connect via Bluetooth? Have you tried re-installing the app on your device?
@@ReadySetGOTV yes I’ve tried it. When I bought them and connected to the app, they connected perfectly however after the 1st day they weren’t showing up in the app, the app kept saying “headset not found” whilst I was listening to music in the background. They connect to Bluetooth fine
@@crishheer5307 Do you have a different iOS device to see if it does the same thing? I was having problems connecting to iPhone. Went under bluetooth settings and clicked on "Forget Device" to force it to look up for it again and it worked...
@@crishheer5307 If you're being able to pair the earbuds to your device it might be that the Tone Free app does not have access to Bluetooth, Device Pairing etc. Check under settings on your iOS device and make sure Bluetooth is on for the app...
Hey Paul, Check the following: 1) Bluetooth is turned on on your phone 2) Earbuds have enough charge 3) Earbuds are paired with your phone before using the app prior to first use. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@@hoodzz338 Paul yes it does work on iPhone. In our case it failed to pair the first couple of times we tried at first. Have you paired them before or is it the first time?
For initial pair make sure you connect the case to a power source with the earbuds mounted inside. Open the case (do not remove earbuds yet) and press the pairing button for 5 seconds, the blue light should be blinking otherwise it won't work...
I agree with you Ben. Cool thing is that you only need to charge them 5 min in the case for an extra hour of playtime. When compared to the bigger Powerbeats, the smaller, low-profile size of LG's earbud's might explain the short charge time. Appreciate the feedback and please don't forget to subscribe!
Sound prioritizes more on mid and high notes in my opinion. Still a decent option if booming or thumping bass is not your thing. Don't forget to subscribe and thanks for watching!
If you want me to be honest, for the price you can probably find better sounding options out there. Even the low budget AUKEY T-21S sound better in my opinion. Don't get me wrong they're decent just a bit pricey in my opinion.
@@SillyRiver83For $70 it's not a bad price, specially when you have around-the-neck models selling for that price range as well. Reviewing budget options has been eye-opening to me and has shown me you don't really need to overspend!
@@AlFerJov24 That's a great price Albert, go for it! Try to purchase from a seller that accepts returns just in case you don't like their sound output...
Definitely the worst I’ve ever had, bad Bluetooth connection, the left earphone struggles to sync with the right earphone, the proximity sensors almost never work, the voice saying “low battery please charge” is annoying as hell, and with the last update the charging case doesn’t even charge, the LED just lights up in red and turns off.
Hey Pedro, Based on everything you're describing you might have a defective item. If you're past the return window but still under warranty you should contact LG for assistance.
@@ReadySetGOTV yeah thanks for answering! I already took my first FN4 to repair to the place I bought it (since LG only sells their products but since they don’t have any store in my country they usually don’t take care of their defective products and stores have to do it themselves *main reason people never buy this brand here*) they told me they had fixed it, but still wasn’t working properly, the second time they gave me a new pair that worked decently for about 2 weeks and then started having the same issues, but since I updated them my FN4 are just unusable, the case just doesn’t charge. The store where I bought them is one of the most famous in here for selling brand new and original products and I’m not the only one having problems with these earphones, so I just wanted to say that I wouldn’t recommend these LG FN4, you can definitely get better sound, a better user experience and more battery for less!. Thanks!
@@pedroreyesaragon I'm sorry you've had such a bad experience with these earbuds. May I ask what country you live in? I personally had some minor issues but nothing like your situation. @@ReadySetGOTV thanks, I live in Costa Rica, and no, it wasn’t a refurbished product, I bought it from an official national store and they don’t sell refurbished devices, maybe it was just bad luck 😂 And welll, actually... my FN4 started charging normally a few hours ago, I’m hoping it’s fixed. I’m subscribed! You have a really good channel btw!!
@@pedroreyesaragon Appreciate the sub! I agree sometimes it could be just bad luck. There's is a new LG Tone Free coming out (FP8) that seems to improve on a lot of things but at its $180 price range it will face tough competition...
how are you going to mention the weight and measurements of the earbuds and all the pointless crap writen on the box that no one gives a shit about...but not mention how long these buds actually play for untill needing a charge..
I disagree with you regarding the specs and package description but you do have a valid point. Charge on these earbuds ran close to 5 hours. One awesome feature is that if you place the earbuds back in the case for 5 minutes you will get an hour of play time. Appreciate the feedback!
These buds works well with few phones like iPhone, Xiaomi, etc and sounds crackling with most others like my Samsung TV, Sony z5 compact, etc. Pathetic software bug. Bcos it sounds way cool in my iphone. And the exact opposite on Sony. It's a quality control issue. LG is nowadays doing half backed products 🙄
Hey Joako, I have updated the resetting instructions, check if this works for you: 1) Put the earbuds in the charging case. 2) With the case open press the pairing button for 10 seconds or more. The factory reset proceeds while status indicator flashes in red. 3) Reconnect the device. I know it's a bit of a hassle; hope this helps...
@@snoppy_bro9995 I'm sorry but I'm not able to make a video at this moment. You could also have a defective pair, if you're still in the returning window you could try exchanging them.

@@jivoowz In that case, did you buy them recently and can return to store? If not, are you still under warranty? Since they don't have local shops, LG usually requires you to mail the item to them and they will repair or exchange it. I reached out to them once and they're pretty diligent...
