Video guide for updating Smart TV software with webOS
Do you need to update the TV software?
- You can update the software directly from the TV, if it is connected to the wireless or cable network: this is the recommended mode, as it is automatic.
- The software update from the TV will only be available if it has been distributed over the network by LG.
- For Smart TV products, the software update is not automatically notified if they are not connected to the wired or wireless network.
- If the TV is not connected to the network, you can update the software by downloading it from the LG website, accessing the page: Software and firmware, click here, and searching for your model.
Connect a USB key to the TV after saving the file with the downloaded software (for more details and instructions see the dedicated pages, indicated below, referring to the platform of your Smart TV).
How to proceed
WebOS Smart TV
① Home keys or Remote control settings → General → About TV → Check for updates
※ If the automatic update mode is selected, it will start automatically.

① Smart Button or Remote Control Settings → Support → Software Update → Check for Update
※ If the automatic update mode is selected, it will start automatically.
※ If the automatic update mode without notification is selected, it will be downloaded without asking for confirmation.
