I refuse to spend a grand or more on a smartphone! So, from your recommendations, I always take a step back and look at some of the best used flagships that are available! Quick update: I've had my v60 for a couple of months now and it is running Android 13 update with no problems! However, I wish they could have taken elements from the G7, like that terrific speaker and made it a dual speaker on the v60! Also, the fingerprint scanner is kind of wonky... I much prefer the scanner on the back like the G8 phone! Still, for $115, I'm going to rock this thing until the wheels fall off of it! Thanks again 👍📱
I still have my V60 in 2024. Use it for media consumption using the Quad Dac and headphone jack. It is still THE best device for recording a concert with the multiple mics and audio controls. I keep it connected to a VPN, have paid Bitdefender installed and I keep NFC and Bluetooth off. Looks brand new, always in a case and a 9H screen protector. And unlike most phones today I can connect to HDMI via USB-C. Still rocking!
Make sure if you're going to store or shelve one of these older flagships , make sure you make sure to store it at 80% battery . The battery will store so much better and over time won't degrade nearly as much if at all.
Im so glad I didnt get rid of my V60 when I upgraded to the S22 Ultra cause after 9 months using it I switched back to my LG V60 due to camera, speaker quality was still better in my opinion, not to mention battery life last a lot longer!
I have both also...so I still prefer natural shots on the V60 compared to the saturated look of the S22 Ultra. Night shots look natural as well and not turn night into day shot bright. Also the V60 has Ultra Wide Correction...for the life of me I dont know why the S22 Ultra dont have it. V60 is better at moving shots as well, the S22 Ultra has a slight shutter lag that when I take pictures of moving object it tends to be blury. With the findings I have mentioned how is my opinion crazy to have? Its my opinion, like I stated on my first post...thats why I went back to the V60. I didnt bother upgrading the S22 Ultra to the S23 Ultra cause the camera quality is more less the same. No offense either.
Bought one last week because of your note 20 ultra comparison video got it at a good price $109 in near mint condition although the 90fps screen on the note 20 ultra would've been good for a lil pubg but for a $109 the v60 was a steal so the only thing missing now is that dual case lol.

Android 13, option to use a second screen as a foldable, fantastic audio with ess sabre Quad DAC, 3.5mm headphone socket, aptx adaptive, sd card slot... As well as wireless earbuds, I'm using sennheiser hd 560s over ears and they sound great with my v60.
Another awesome video. Superlative production and presentation. I was just watching a RU-vid video on the just-introduced iPhone 15 Pro. They were lauding the feature that allows you to record directly to external storage via the USB-C port. On my V60, I've been recording video directly to my 1tb SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC™ UHS-I CARD...which cost me $139 on sale. After video is recorded, I pop the card out of my phone, slide it in the adapter, into the computer's SD slot, then download into my laptop.
The v60😢has a screen enhancing feature built In . It acts alot like it's boosting the MHz to smooth it out. Apparently it's used on their tvs to smooth out the video.
This phone is crazy good Even thought this phone was never released in my country the fact I could get one this year for the same price of S20 FE and is a better phone is amazing I couldn't ask for more.
That G7 is a great phone! That single firing speaker is the best ever. That one is a solid pick, even though it doesn't get the updates anymore and I think it's running Android 10, but it's still a winner!📱👍
Hey I'm still using my 5 yr old V30 because of the quad dac... and I can't find any other newer phone to switch to as they won't have the same audio quality. What would you suggest as an upgrade/ replacement?
I bought a locked “demo “ phone mainly for music. I can still use the App Store and everything works on it as a regular phone only you just can’t use it with a SIM card. Wi-Fi yes. So I got it because it’s technically an iPod with no more software updates.
About 2 years ago I bought a demo for 100.00 bucks just for parts mainly the screen . had to use it for my bros v60. Totally smashed used the battery wireless charger amd battery pack glass and screen. Went out and bought another mint demo. Just for parts. Planned on removing retail demo. But man that demo was a great buy. Still rocken my LG v60!
Charge port is a known issue that LG never fixed. I had a g2, then a g6, now still on V60 dual screen 5g with android 13 on TM. Charge port will eventually stop fast charging no matter which brand cable or charger on any LG phone. Now wireless charging. Heats up battery & degrades it with wireless. Will need new battery soon. Other then that, this 3 year old phone can't be beat. It has everything I want. Researched Samsung 23 Ultra & Google pixel 8 pro. Don't know if that would be any kind of upgrade to my LG V60. I wish LG would get back into the market.
I have a LG v30+, 2017 release and I'm still so much appreciates it. Bought me a Samsung galaxy s20+ and within a year lines starts appearing on the screen and eventually the screen shut down. I had to go back to my V30. I'm actually watching this on my V30 in 2024.
I just gave up using the V60, as the tmobile update to And13 caused overheating and battery drain. Too hot even at rest to keep in my pocket. Checked all background apps, nothing has changed in my usage for the last 6 months other than the And 13 update. I decided to take a chance and get a new original factory sealed V60 for about $240, hoping that it was my phone failing and not the And 13 update. Let it update fully to And13, and it is also overheating and draining. If anyone has experienced this and know a fix, please share. IT's a shame, because it is a great device.
I had charging port issues with both the dual-screen (green screen of death) and the main screen but I fixed it with RadioShack tuner cleaner and now after three years my phone is as good as new.
I have had top end samsung and i am having iphone now i.e iphone 13 . But nothing beats my LG V 40 till date. It had everything which really mattered even today. Don’t know why such expensive phones now cannot compete with the sound quality of v40 sound.
I've had two now mainly because the other got ran over by a vehicle and shattered the screen. It still works great. But both of them have charging port issues. You have to make sure the cord is sitting just right or it will cause it to stop charging.
U got a sub from me lad :)) I swear I was gonna hit the buy button on the v60 but I couldn't find the 256gb storage option available on the online market in my region for this phone (I know it has the SD card support, but I want more of that "just in case storage" within the phone since my 7+ with 128gb storage is almost full now) But still old flagships are awesome right now, thank you so much for informing people on them, have a great day man!
I just picked up the a54 5G I have three LG v60s that are broken and I'm about to get another one because I miss it The price and the performance of the 865 Snapdragon 4 years removed from its release is still better than any mid-range performance-wise
I like the Screen+ feature that came within this phone. Its equivalent to Samsung Dex. This phone is cheap and a beast in specs. Big Screen, Great display ✅ Good battery life (7 hours SOT)✅ Great stereo speakers ✅ Good overall performance ✅ Good cameras ✅ Ip68 rating✅ Quad dac, 3.5mm jack✅ Sd card support ✅ If i wanna nitpick, it would be best if LG put atleast 90Hz refresh rate with its display.
The G8 is a great step up if you're looking around for something new... You can pick up the G8 for less than $100! But, the speaker is better still on the G7!🔊
Bought mine used 2 years ago for 190. Best phone ever. Great battery life and longevity (LiPo vs lion in the S20). Great performance as well and best yet, a 3.5mm jack. Can't go wrong.
Just bought a Pixel 8 Pro because of lack of any more security updates on the V60. I can say for sure that for most people the V60 is the better phone. The only advantage the Pixel has is camera zoom. Thats all.
Switched back to v60 as well. Only problem is it loses phone signal on att now. Just can't find a phone I want. The edge 2022 was garbage. May get the 2023 edge +
Wanna tell others that this is one of the few phones in 2020 that has PDAF on the selfie camera. No other phone had this until just 2023 with Samsung. V60 still runs Genshin Impact pretty well and the phone is still plenty fast!!
Phase Detection Autofocus@@dnegel9546 , it means the selfie camera can focus on your face or whatever thing you point at it... and it can do it fast&accurate.
This is a great phone but I am having a tough time deciding between this and S20 Ultra 5G. If I get this brand new it's around $300ish. If I buy the S20 one it's about $360. For $60 isn't a good idea to go with the S20? I like this phone but the charging port going bad is a pretty common complaint. What do you think?
Where can you buy V60 for under 100 bucks? Maybe refurbished or used. I see new for $200-250. My V40 battery does not last as long...may have to scoop it up
@@cybercityoedo808 I actually scooped up a new V50 ...not pre owned or refurbished for $190.00. I prefer the V50's size, display and looks over the V60. The V50.battery easily gets me through a work day as the V40 barely made it on fumes with the 3300 mAh battery. Also...i need the dedicated telephoto lens that the V60 lacks...

I have a V40 and I will probably pick up the V60. V50 is similar to V40 but V50 has bigger battery and a smooth camera lens array in the back. With the V60...you will lose from the V50 dual front facing cameras, face unlock, Quad HD display, the boom box resonance chamber within the frame to produce a fuller sound from speakers, rear telephoto lens. You will gain on the V60...better battery life, dual screen functionality, bigger screen for viewing content?, games. From reviews I have seen, better camera quality, recent operating system, current security p 0:02 atches.
Is it okay to trade this from my Poco F4 my f4 has a fking green screen lol. And LG has one of te best Headphone Jacks and I'm pissed with the shitty UI and Camera.
@matthews-tech Yes buy the dual screen dude though it gets complicated with the thickness of the case it is stupid you need an adapter or like an L right angle skinny headphone jack. Get like a Samsung Fold 2 to compare it too.

Bro i got my v60 recently it's unlocked verizon variant, perhaps it's stuck at a13 40a, and when i try to update it to latest patch it shows error code 402, i tried on LG Bridge aswell, LG Bridge disconnects after checking for update. What should i do. Any help will be appreciated. TIA

LG v60 is great but my only issue with this phone is i need to charge my v60 from 15 to 100 percent for about 3 to 4 hours. im using xiaomi 33 watts charger
Check out older Sony phones they are similar. LG needs to make a come back. Just one high end up device and midrange. I can't stand what that betrayer Samsung has done taking out the headphone jack and SD Card support. God Willing with the EU just passing laws forcing rotten Apple too use USB C and now with forcing to bring back removable batteries! Foldable phones I understand can't have those things. Samsung is suffering having 97 percent Smartphone losses again for two quarters and also rotten Apple finally admitting that the Smartphone market is crashing. Both Apple and Samsung charge way too much. Apple don't do any innovation anyway now. Chinese companies are killing Both that duopoly. So they need to bring back what consumers what and not this damn planned obsolescence! I have spoken lol.
LG has always released impeccable phones. That being said, I had to leave for higher refresh rate. Also, it’s almost 2024. Why bother even mention “antivirus” software? Most of it is garbage, scammy, and you *might* only need AVG Free if you’re on Windows, that’s it.
