what happens if i forgot to take off the transport bolts and let it wash on heavy load for an hour? i read the manual in the middle of the wash and turned it off and removed them before fast spinning happens. i ran the diagnostic and it says everything is fine
Drain hose, is by factory tightened into the washing machine body from bottom to top then can be move around from that height, Is that correct? Or the hose from the bottom of the WM can be move around freely? Do I have to remove the 2 clamps that hold the drain house?
You should keep the hose fastened as it is, there is actually a note at the back. If you loosen it, there is chance that water flows back in your machine
I got my wash machine at Lowe’s they laid it on its side. I didn’t notice till I got home there’s a sticker that says do not lay on its side. Will it be damaged?
Not necessarily. While the best way of transporting a washer is standing, as long as the transit bolts are in the appliance will be steady enough. Did you manage to run some cycles since writing this post?
When using topload it's really necessary for the drain hose to be down the drain. For frontload is it really okay for the drain hose to drain in any ways?
When they lift the washer, underneath you see a thin white styrofoam square. Svould this be removed or not? I read in the manual you should make sure to remove a styrofoam piece that goes in to the dryer underneath, but i could not find that. I do however have that thin styrofoam underneath that is glued in. I started removing it now (not easy alone) and saw this video where they didn't say to remove it. Should it stay in place, and in that case, what is the use for it?
Good question. No, it should not be removed. This Styrofoam that is attached to the base is meant to reduce vibrations and noise. Some packing constructions also have a base part that, for transportation stability, fits into the base plate. This is part of the packing so can be removed. However, the Styrofoam at 00:56 - 01:00 in the video should not be removed.
@@LGSAE This is unclear in the manual - I also nearly removed the styrofoam noise reduction, confusing it with the 'tub support' which my model must not require to be removed.
Just bought an washer dryer combo. The sales rep told me that the drain hose need to be placed at a higher position before going into the drain pipe. Still figuring what she meant! Plse explain
Can you please tell me how much fabric softener should be poured in the softener chembur? And how much water will come there? The technician said that I should pour the chembur to the max level always and only few drops of water will come there..is he right? But I don't think so because 1st of all those few drops can't take away softener fully, 2ndly we don't wash full load always so we should not use softener till maximum line always. Am I right? Note: My product model is FV1409S3W. It's not taking fabric softener and it's only 17days old.
Thanks for your questions and apologies about the late response. I would like to recommend this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y6-YKG-TPyY.html so do not go past the max line, less is always possible and up to you, indeed depending on the amount and type of laundry. Check the softener packing for correct dosing. The water is definitely more than a few drops, because it needs to 'flush' the softener out of the compartment at the end of the last rinse stage. After the cycle there may be a little water left, this is normal.
Yes that could happen. Depends on the water pressure hitting the Inlet valves. Sometimes you need to open the tap a little more, sometimes close it a little.
Hello, I've just bought less then one week ago a washer/drier code F4DV710H1E . I've installed it correctly, took away the 4 transport bolts, levelled correctly, but I noticed that during the spin it vibrates really a lot. It doesn't matter what type of load I wash it keeps vibrating during the spin at any speed (1000/1200/1400 etc). Could be something defective with my machine? Should I call the LG customer service?. The machine doesn't walk aorund the room because the floor is perfectly flat and very grippy, but the bottles of detergent keep fall down from the top of the machine. thanks in advance if you can help me, I'm writing from Italy.
Dear Ales, are the lock nuts properly tightened? If yes, try taking the leg adjustment wrench that is supplied with your machine and run a Spin cycle (do not select a wash program after turning on the machine, just select a spin speed) and when the spinning starts to increase and your machine is shaking, turn 1 of the front adjustment nuts (of the leg that shakes the most) clockwise. This raises that foot and should provide more stability. If this does not help, you are always free to contact LG Service in Italy.
I’m surprised that LG still hasn’t realised that the boxes cause dents in the back of the machines when they are clamped in the factory. I received 6 LG machines with dents on the back. You need to use clear polystyrene like other manufacturers do.
Thank you for sharing, We are sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. Please know, our factories are constantly looking to find cost effective solutions to the type of problems you describe.
@@LGSAE have LG made changes to back of machine? I have placed an order for this machine? Is there anything else i should know? Is there a step by step video showing installation and wifi set up?
Well the minimum height is not important, as long as the supplied hose is used and it is not extended in any way. The rinsing performance depends on many factors, such as the load, amount and type of detergent used, softener (yes/no), and washing temperature. Also the drain hose should not be blocked/obstructed in any way. Advise: keep filters clean and use tub clean every 30 cycles.
There is a drop of water at the water supply tube next to the washer machine. The tube is well tightned, but when the washer takes water it leaks a drop of water. The washing machine is new and has the original water supply tube.
Is the tube locked straight, so not in a slight angle? that may cause water leakage. The water supply hose has a connector with a rubber ring inside, check if this is still present. Another cause may be a damaged swivel, perhaps due to too much tightening? Hope these tips help.
What if I don't have any water tap near the washing machine for it to be taking water From what Other Forms Can I use for the Machine to take Water From
that means that the bolts that hold the tub into place are still in the back, which should only be the case during transport to prevent the tub from shaking too much. When using the machine they must be removed.
FV1208D4W My Washer gets stuck in an endless loop, puts water and drains and add and drains. Why does this happen? Doesn't happen to my older LG models.
The multi-purpose tool is set into polystyrene base and the delivery folk took it with them so we are having problems. Als0 the waste pipe and water supply pipe are less than half the length of the previous Hoover machine so we can't plumb the machine in without adapting it that then invalidates our guarantee and Currys insurance! We will try and cancel the Currys insurance and get our £80 back! We tried to contact Currys but gor transferred to LG who couldn't be contacted on a Sunday.
Dear Roger, hope you got your problem solved since you made this post. As for the waste (drain) and supply hoses, especially the drain pipe has a specific length, adapted to the power of the drain pump. This means that you shouldn't extend it (too much) or indeed you'll void warranty when something happens.
An IE message means that an Inlet Error is detected. This could have several reasons such as a clogged dispenser or blocked inlet hose. Please contact your local LG helpdesk to investigate.
Do you mean it leaks to the front of the machine? Also it may be an inlet problem elsewhere. In both cases I suggest you contact your local LG helpdesk.
@@LGSAE I expected this response - however my WVC5-1409W has a card with it advising to connect the machine to a "HOT WATER SUPPLY" - this is unexpected, how can I use a cold wash?
It was extremely hard for to remove plastic bolts in the back, nothing like in the video... And if this is a so smart machine why you dosen't have a warning or something alerting the users to remove the bolts in the back before start??? I know is in the manual but it just say to remove but no alert about possible damage if not!!!!! Im very very disappointed with Brandsmart stores 👎👎👎
Sorry that you feel bad. Your comment about Smart relates to the Software, and this is a Physical thing. Maybe in the future it is possible to add a little "radio like" chip, but for now, I do not think any manufactures has this.
