This video outlines the installation for the LG WashTower™. These models include the WWT-1710B & WWT-1710W. Please review the installation guide in the box for full installation instructions.
What does it mean when the dryer makes a clicking noise. when you place your hand on the dryer it stops. When you take your hand away it starts. The noise happens on both sides of the dryer.
Costco just delivered this machine but didn't cap the transit holes and left. I know this because the caps are sitting there in the package. There is no way I can get behind the machine now because its in a small closet and the machine weighs over 300 lbs. How important is it to have the holes capped? I'm worry that lint and dust can get in there and mess up the machine.
Always tighten your inlet hoses with a wrench, 1/2 to 1 turn. The water is under pressure and hand tight hoses might come loose from the machine vibration.
European plugs = ventless model. You also can see a small drain line going from the dryer @4:19. So, it's either 1) Condenser dryer or 2) Heat pump dryers (same sealed system as in your refrigerator).
My washtower is to be out installed in a basement with limited ceiling height. I believe about 82”. What would be the minimum height required to maneuver into place?
@@Eddie-gb3bn washtower is awesome so far. I have done a few hundred loads already works great. Delivery was no issue because it comes in two pieces.. only complaint is how hard the relays turn the water on and off. It makes my pipes bang
@@michaelcharach Now that you have had you wash tower for awhile would you still recommend it and how do you find the dryer for drying without a vent compared to vented dryers?
Roughly 3-4 minutes to figure out how to get it off the dolly followed with another few minutes of how to connect a hose to a hose bib. Two outlet cords probably going on the same circuit with no 220, 221, whatever it takes, in sight. Not a sniff of a mention about the dryer side hookup. No need to relieve the weight of the 300 lb machine when leveling it either. Thank goodness they showed how to install the 4 delivery mounting caps back on. And seriously though, did they actually trim out a hole on the top of the countertop for this thing? Lol. They already had a hole on the side of the cabinet. Wouldn't the logical, easier, and aesthetically pleasing mounting option be to create your suction on the back of the machine with a sheet metal screw and then just run those two hoses through the side of the cabinet? All wrapped up with some music that reminds me of the old Baby Einstein dvds. This wasn't exactly what I envisioned when setting out to play this video.
Absolutely needs the washer and dryer hose (they are both drains / escapes) as it's the only way they are vented. You could probably rig one up or buy as a spare part for your situation.
Judging by the very high efficiency rating on the front I’m assuming it’s a heat pump dryer which don’t need ventilation. Either way it’s not required to vent a vented tumble dryer outside in Australia because most people will only use them a few days in winter
Any type of condenser/heat pump condenser dryer doesn't need venting. It condenses the steam into water which can flow either down the drain (if you pipe it) or into the container which you will need to empty
I installed this same model today. The customer said it wobbled out of place and scratched their door. It was in a very tight space. I just don't see how it wobbled out of place. Uneven load? Idk 🤷♂️. Customer is upset.
Hahaha, I want to see that too. I bet, those two guys would break plastic drip pan. They could barely install it in a open, easy space without a drip pan. Now, try installing this laundry center into a plastic drip pan with the drain connected and pan is not moving and cracking😅, in a tiny laundry room, with 90° install needed, where appliance dolly useless and cannot fit inside laundry room and install needs to be done by hand, where cabinets won't let you go on the sides, where the POS Indian husband and wife standing behind, watching and telling us none stop what and how to do (to the point of several argument and last was telling them to GTFU and STFU or we're out). Me, and another strong 350lbs person did that install in 2012...never again!!!
Why doesn't LG just put locking wheels at the bottom? It is so difficult for the average person to move the tower to clean behind it and also clean the dryer duct. My boyfriend and I could not budge the tower. Refrigerators have wheels. Baby carriages have locking wheels. If they could do it for babies then certainly it could have been done for laundry towers.
This particular model does not vent to inside or outside. It is ventless, uses a heat pump (dehumidifier) instead of current-sucking resistive heating elements. The same air is recirculated within the dryer; no air from the dwelling is sucked outside (further energy savings).
@@chuckwhite1101 Not a video fail. This is a Heat Pump dryer. They don't require venting to the outside. They convert the steam into water, which is what the drain is for on the dryer.
