@@KLEEBZTECH Great video! I just have one question, if I buy the h100i elite cappelix from corsairs website will I need to buy an all new standoff and backplate or just new brackets? for connecting to lga 1700
Wow. About to build my first PC ever, i'm 13(almost 14) and I was really worried about this step. You put it into great detail and I hope i'm gonna do it right!
Great video! Just a heads up for fellow 12th gen owners, when I purchased my H100i Elite Capellix on the box it stated that it supported LGA 1700. Now if you're buying online then you could be getting an older unit that doesn't have the 1700 standoffs.
1:42 My goodness I thought they couldn't move, thank you so much for putting information to let us know they're adjustable. I thought I needed to order some sort of kit from Corsair to get a backplate that fits the LGA 1700 Intel chipset.
This came in MAJOR clutch. Was building my dream build today, and couldn't figure out why the plates wouldn't match up properly. Thank you for uploading this.
Thank you so much for pointing out you could adjust the holes on the mounting bracket. I sat here for longer than I'd like to admit trying to get the backplate to line up with the motherboard.
Thank you SO much for this video. This is exactly what I needed! I was so confused and the manual and other videos were skipping over a lot of the details of this step so I was getting stuck but this laid it out so perfectly.
Building a new PC and was looking for some instructions on how to plug the Corsair iCUE H150i Elite Capellix. The user manual that came with it is bare to say the least. The miniature pictures and the instructions that say : "Look at the picture" do not really help. Glad I found your video. Thanks for the tutorial.
Your video is very much appreciated thank you so much. I got i9 12900k and i didn't really know if this cooler supported the new 12gen CPU and watching your video I add a peace of mind because I was really struggling and nearly sending back to Amazon.
You will need the correct standoffs and backplate in order to have it work properly with your 12900k, I'm not sure if they are currently shipping new models with the proper hardware or not
Enjoyed it alot, thanks. The Aorus Pro is a solid MB but getting that one standoff in the corner formed by the two heatsink angles is a bear. Congratulations on the channel, I've subscribed.
Man im glad i watched this video... i was so confused as to where the usb plug and the 24pin plug went... i never ran any power to the unit so thankfully i didn't blow anything when powering it on. I had a msi meg z590 ace gold edition that kept giving me a c1 error and even when swapping ram it gave an A7 error but when the computer finally turned on i think my msi aio's pump wasnt properly working so i bought a new aio (the corsaid H100i) and a MSI meg carbon edition motherboard. Now im just waiting on my new case and power supply. I miss the days where motherboards and aio's came with actual paper manuals
I always attach the 3-pin connector on the pump into the CPU_FAN header on the motherboard. Most motherboards will complain and some will refuse to post if you don’t have anything plugged into that header.
thank you! I was doubting how to connect the pump to cpu fan io. its a 3pin with 1 wire. On my asus z790-e there was a jumper i had to remove to plug it.
Appreciate the information. A little tip/request, if you could try to pronunciate your words more clearly if possible, I had some trouble understanding some parts. Other than that, perfect!
My last build I made for myself was in 2008. Since I got married in 2012 I have built one other machine which was for my wife which got handed down to me once she decided to go to a laptop. My 2008 machine ran until 2019 so 11 years, This machine here is from 2014 so 8 years old now and its about time for an upgrade so I started doing research on parts because even if I cannot afford to buy every part I want all at once Its good to know what I would like in my build to be able to start saving for it. There is a part of me that misses that old 2008 build hahaha 4870x2 8 gigs of ddr2 which people called me crazy for 2tb of HDD which was massive at the time Things like this were not really so much of an option back then nor was RGB like it is today hence why I thought I ought to "Bling" up this next build unlike the last one which was Pure blue all the time and only lights on the case fans in his Antech 1200 which after 11 years half of them had died and been replaced at least once with cheap no led models.
I found a video telling me that I need to buy the lga 1700 standoffs on the corsair website, but the video is a bit older. Are the standoffs for lga 1700 included in the elite capellix ?
@@KLEEBZTECH Thanks a lot 🙏 Haven't got any answer from any other videos, very cool that you are still answering comments on old videos, not everyone does that.
I'm using the H170i with an i9 12900k with the kit for the 1200, and the temperatures are very good. With the cpu stress Aida 64 and cinebench the peak temperature is 80 degrees. I ordered the 1700 kit, when it arrives I will modify the comment to tell you if there is an improvement.
Hello, I have an Corsair 7000x rgb case. I don't need to install the controller from corsair capitalix liquid cooling, I think, thank you for the detailed review, it is very simple to assemble.
thank you for this video. i'm getting my LGA1700 retrofit kit standoff soon. my only question is can you use the backplate that comes with my H100i RGB Pro XT? or do i have to get a new one for that? my motherboard is b660m tomahawk, the black one.
The reason people connected differently is because you can. If you have a pump header that is probably what I would pick preferably. We also have a video that dives a little further into that. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Lx0xMbKFJ7M.html
I bought the Corsair 4000X case and it came with the RGB controller. Do I have to use this controller that comes with the pump just for the 24 pin connector?
To my understanding, the brackets that come with the H150i won't work with the Asus ROG MAXIMUS Z690 HERO ATX LGA1700 Motherboard. Do I have to buy a separate mounting bracket for this motherboard?
in the manual it identifies 2 types of standoff screw but it does not mention lga 1700 i am now seriously considering ordering some off ebay even if they are the same size .
Does the 'Corsair Hydro H150i Pro 360mm AIO' work with Intel LGA1700 if you buy the LGA1700 retrofit? Because it doesn't show in the compatibility list for the retrofit kit...
Hello, what a good video, I only have one question, and it is: are the screws for the lga 1700 placed on any side? or is there a specific side to place on the motherboard, in the image on the corsair page it seems that the screws have 2 different sides in terms of thickness and size, but holding them in hand they seem to be the same on both sides both in thickness as length to screw in please help
If memory serves me correct I bought one is slightly thicker. And looking at the video it appears that way. I don't have one at the moment to check. If they are different it should not screw in easily. So don't try to force anything.
@@KLEEBZTECH Hello, thanks for answering, I put it first on one side and then I changed it and so and in every way they are screwed, I bought an elite capellix h100i manufactured in 2020 and luckily it came with lga 1700 screws so they are original corsair but as I said, on the corsair page the screws seem to be one side thicker than the other but the screws I have on both sides seem to be the same and that was my question :(
is this ASRock Z790 PG LIGHTNING ATX LGA1700 Motherboard and Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler do i need a separate mounting adapter to fit the ASRock Z790 PG LIGHTNING ATX LGA1700 Motherboard.
The factory installed thermal paste is not large enough to cover the entire chip. All 3 of the Corsair AIOs I recently tried were 1 to 1.5mm short on the long side of the chip to cover it.
Ours wasn't included in the box and we had to order it separately, but new ones are currently shipping with it as far as I know. Old stock on shelves may not have it though
So it looks like you had the fans installed incorrectly at the beginning? Why did you not address that in tbe video? Seems like you ended up turning them back around.
Have you looked at the Arctic Liquid Freezer II? Can be a little harder to install but we do have a video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VP21fM0XXSk.html
I don’t know what is happening but every time I turn the pc on, the radiator fans display white and then stop showing any rgb after a couple of seconds.
i have ordered retrofit standoffs from Corsair couple some time ago, and once i installed it with Corsair H115 i rgb platinum, the older one from around 2017 my cooling block on CPU was extremely loose , no contact with IHS at all! i decided to install it with 1150 standoffs etc and while under gaming temps are fine, while running burners and at only 150W temps are reaching 100c :( i'm greatly disappointed , any ideas how to make it better?
Can I connect the commander core to a 4-pin usb 2.0 port? is that my motherboard only has a 10-1 pin usn 2.0 port and next to it another 4-pin usb 2.0 and the 10-1 pin I have with the usb 2.0 on the front panel and I see that the commander core usb port only It has 4 cables and I think that if it could be connected to the 4-pin USB 2.0, please help :(
1:56 on my H100X they just bundled up both intel 1700 and 1200/115X the bag is labeled "intel HW" and underneath it says P/N 75005533🤔 Atleast now I know the lga 1700 one is the one without the little cut out on the hexagonal piece...
Great video. I am going to build a new pc using this AIO cooler and an Asus maximus z690 extreme motherboard. Asus Z600 series motherboards have aditional holes for lga 1200 cooling systems. Will I still require the lga 1700 stand offs??
Can you please again specified where you can connect that 3 PIN power cable at 4:12 in your video. If i understood you correctly you said that you can connect that 3 Pin cable in either the CPU fan header or the PUMP fan header? It is a little confusing, i have seen some other videos where they only subject you to plug that cable in the CPU fan header. Thank you i appreciated
If you have a pump header that would probably be the best option. But you can use others if not available on your motherboard. We have another video we talk about some of the options. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Lx0xMbKFJ7M.html
Hi i am planning to buy this cooler but do they all come with the pre-applied thermal paste ? Is it ok if i still apply more thermal paste on top of the cpu before installing the cooler ?
@@JSRJS nice, but h170i is a 2022 model, so they are supposed to put it in the box. h150i is older, looks like one way to get it is to order separately.
Loved the video but the thumb screws around 3:35 is confusing me. My thumb screws don’t screw in at all and I don’t know how to make them. What can I do?
What is 24pin cable going from pump to commander core? I broke some of wires on 24pin cable, can i use and control pump, fun etc without that 24pin cable or i should look for someone to fix for me?
Without that I don't think you will be able to control the pump or RGB via the corsair software, but if you have the pump header connected to your motherboard you should still be able to run the pump with BIOS
3:17 "As far as the orientation of the hoses go, it doesn't really matter". This is not true and is misleading. Gamers Nexus did an extensive video on where to place the radiator in regards to the CPU as well as the location of the hoses/tubes. Incorrectly installing the AIO is bad in regards to acoustics and in regards to the lifespan of the product itself. If the AIO was installed correctly the pump and AIO can result in an AIO lasting longer with less noise from the pump.
do all models come with the LGA 1700 Plate and Standoff Screws? I'm looking buy the Hi100 Pro RGB Elite from Newegg and it lists as LGA 1700 Compatible but if it doesent come with the backplate and stand off screws id have to buy those aftermarket and i cant find them in stock anywhere Let me know if you can
At this point they should come with the parts. If they don't then I would definitely contact their support. If they advertise it as supporting it then it should come with the parts.
