Yeah, i'm not too sure about the efficiency of workers in this expansion. I hope they patch it. I aspired to make the biggest and best chair store in the universe, with every chair of every color variation available, but my dreams were foiled because the employees stood around and chatted near the company kitchen all day. Even after I removed the kitchen, praised them and gave them two promotions, they still didn't do anything. Sadly I had to shut down the IKEA-esque store that only sold chairs.

I'm 92% sure that's not how the workplace fuctions in real life. "Hey boss, I'm going home early today." "Ok, how many hours have your worked today...? Let's see... 2? Ok, you only get 20 bucks today. See you tomorrow."

Workers not doing what they should be doing is quite annoying. I once had this one customer who wanted to buy something and one employee whos job was to ring out customers. This employee just stood there talking to his buddy all day, and this happens all the time. I don't think I ever had an employee do their job besides cleaning.

I legitimately thought EA/Maxis/Sims Studio really made a content pack called The Toilet Store. The font in your video thumbnail was just convincing enough before I watched and realized it was just you being silly. LOL!!

Fartwhistle is filling that line of toilets like a bartender with shot glasses. One continuous stream.

Sims 3 architectural designer is pretty f***ing awesome. It lets you control every aspect of your clients house design as long as it's within budget.

I didn't like how EA just dropped all patches and updates for The Sims 3, the expansions and even the base game still has problems today. I understand its an older game, but we all spent good money on it as well as expansions. Once the started developing The Sims 4 updates stopped, I don't even feel Sims 4 is worth the price, due to what should be in the game isn't, and they want me to spend money on something we should've gotten from the beginning

I hope they will add jobs like being a teacher or something. I mean TS3 University did it, but I think in the Sims 4 there will be more. Because there is nothing like keeping kids in line, grading papers at home, stopping fights and planning the prom! Or you could home school your own child! :)

The Sims 4 conversations is essentially a black hole and the black hole doesn't care if the only thing your sim does is talk for about 9 hours until the faint, vomit or pee themselves (Or the shop closes, which ever comes first) and it's incredibly infuriating. Also the fact that the sims are ALWAYS SO FREAKING HAPPY and negative modifiers last about not at all and there simply being a poster in the corner of the room makes your sim just fucking ecstatic till the end of time.

Pay me more money and see if I improve.....yeah that kind of talk would get you instantly fired

Please do a full episode where you go through duke's daily life. Yes this means you have to do the duke's voice the whole time ;P

Restaurants are better on the employee front. You open a restaurant and they actually do their assigned jobs from day one. But yeah a store for some reason it doesn't work like that. Don't know if that was intentional or not, but either way it stinks to have employees when they don't work.

I made a bakery complete with nice mood lighting and small tables I put a lot of work into it making the second floor an apartment the owner could live in. and was disappointed that none of the sims who bought the pastries would eat any of the stuff at the building which was the ideal image... /: and they only buy a whole plate not one piece. With how useless the employees were and the fact that all their tasks (selling, cleaning, restocking) were disgustingly similar to a free restaurant app game when it came to how freaking long it took them to finally finish it starts become a chore. and you know the length it takes to sell something to someone wouldn't bother me if the length that a customer was willing to wait didn't last a fraction of that. It all reminds me too much of a crappy diner dash game which really challenged my ability to submerge into the game. Maybe its easier once you build up enough perks to get faster response times, but I wish those were the first to purchase rather then some light up sign that isnt going to help the business at all.

I had a similar experience with my 'Gnomes for Homes' shop. I think my recruiting strategy of 'Hotties only' was my downfall! Although I do think it needs some patching...

As a doctor, detective, and scientist I was able to return to my family on another lot, the only problem with that was that the person at work wouldn't do anything because you already chose to follow them. So, if you are to do this, I suggest getting a silver (or full beckon) and then going to your house plot so you can maintain a good job level.

You can swap characters / lot by clicking on the top right hand portion of the Sim's particular icon- that will either let you control them remotely ('work harder' or 'work on skill' etc) or swap to them.

I lost it when Fartwhistle peed in all the toilets in the toilet store. That was just way too funny.

I (and many others I must add) sorta knew this would happen, so it's why I never bothered buying this expansion - and for around 50 bucks in Australia for something that doesn't quite 'ring' true, it's a bullet well-dodged... If only they had added this feature to the non-loading screen Sims 3....

I've been running a bakery since I installed GTW. It's pretty fun, but the customers treat it more like a hangout than a shop. When they're not buying, they sit around and talk, and they never eat in the shop. Sometimes, they'll even leave what they purchased behind, and they're always going behind the counter.

I remember Sims 2 had a business type where you could charge Sims by the hour for hanging out in your store, that was a good business. If your going to make a retail business sell high end cars or high end artwork, they are the only things worth selling, due to time wasted selling Sims on the object and restocking the object
