The horn button got broken and I was trying to install a stand alone horn button. I saw the small black wires that were attached to the horn button. In the process of pulling them out to attach to the new button, I must have pulled out the blue wire that goes down into the turn signal. That killed everything. No response on horn or turn signals. How can I get to the end of the blue wire to see where it is attached?
You will just have to trace the wires. We don't recommend taking apart the turn signal. The link below will take you to the wiring diagram for the 9-pin connector. www.golfcart.com/images/LGT-112.pdf
This is just a universal turn signal switch. In theory, it could be installed on most light kits. It is designed to plug and play directly into the RHOX plug and play harness. It will have to be hardwired into other brands of harnesses providing the light kit and harness can work with a turn signal.
It you have an E-Z-Go RXV with an OE dash, it should look similar to what is in the video. Mid-2019 and newer have a slightly different look but should install the same way. It's possible you have a custom dash or possibly a different cart? The cart's manual / IPL would be your best resources to see how the dash is assembled and to verify if it is or is not OE.
@@GolfCartInstructions I got my dash off and have my harness exposed. I have the 9 pin plug but what is currently plugged in there goes to the headlight switch. It also has 2 wires for the horn and 2 other wires (red and blue) these wires are not connected. What kit do I need?
@@chrissmollen3190 Can you submit a form through www.rhox.com? This will send us a direct email that you can use to send photos of your situation. I think it will be easier for us to see what is going on that way.
Once the horn is installed on the RHOX plug and play harness, pressing the button on the T2 turn signal will cause the horn to work. You need to have the horn installed on the correct terminals on the harness for this to work properly.
