We have an EZGo Express S4 Elite but can’t figure out how to disassemble the cup holder to install the turning lights, or is it in a different place for this particular model
The PDF link will take you to a set of instructions for one of our light kits on the Express. It will go through how to run the harness for the turn signal etc. If you have more questions after reading it, don't hesitate to ask :) rhox.com/images/LGT-402L.pdf
It is a universal turn signal so it will fit an Express S4 steering column; however, the turn signal will more than likely have to be hardwired if you are not plugging it into our harness. We do include a pigtail harness with the turn signal (when purchased outside of a kit) which you can use when hard-wiring it into your existing system.
You will want to compare the voltage the accessories can handle to the voltage you are feeding the accessories. You do not want to supply more voltage to the accessories than what they can handle. For example, if you accessories are rated at 12V, you should only supply 12V to the accessories. This can be through (1) 12V battery source or through a voltage reducer connected to multiple batteries totaling a higher voltage. For the best wear and life on the batteries, it is recommended (not required) to draw from the entire battery pack vs. one single battery. This way the batteries wear evenly. Keep in mind, while a light kit may be rated for 12-48V, the accessories you connect to the light kit may not so you want to check the voltage requirements of each separate accessory to be safe. For example, if a 12V outlet is only rated for 12V and 48V are supplied to the light kit, you could damage your phone or other device that is plugged into the outlet.
@RHOX Garage You keep saying to plug into the 9 pin connector, but like this guy, I don't see a 9 pin under the cup holder on my 2022 Gas (Ezgo Freedom RXV). Cart comes with LED lights. Is it located somewhere else? Or do I have to hard wire the turn signal switch?
Our turn signals are designed to plug and play directly into RHOX wiring harnesses (which would have the 9-pin connector for the turn signal). If your cart has a wire harness that is not RHOX, like OE, chances are you will have to hard wire it. We do make a turn signal kit that includes an adapter for the RXV factory harness - but the adapter is not sold separately. If you want to view this, look up LGT-113. This link will take you to the wiring diagram for the LGT-143 (T1): rhox.us/images/LGT-143.pdf
when i plug the connector into the plug with the jumper, my turn signals work but I lose the ability to turn the lights on with the light switch. any ideas?
The T1/143 turn signal switch does not have ON/OFF function on the turn signal. You would still have to power the lights with the push pull switch on your main harness.
I have a 2015 ezgo txt gas cart that already has lights, but no blinker on colume, took drink holder out and have 2-2 pin connectors. Are they the blinker connectors and what blinker do i order ?
Without seeing them, I am not sure what they are. Our turn signal connectors will be a 9-pin connector with green or blue gaskets. I would refer to your manual to see if it is an OE harness or part of the light kit. If you contact us through our RHOX.com page, you can reply to the email with photos so we can identify your light kit and send you information on the turn signals. Photos of the harness and the headlight(s) (front, back and connectors) will be helpful.
@RHOX Garage Your videos all say to plug into the 9 pin connector, but like this guy, I don't see a 9 pin under the cup holder on my 2022 Gas (Ezgo Freedom RXV). Cart comes with LED lights. Is it located somewhere else? Or do I have to hard wire the turn signal switch?
The turn signal is universal so it will work on a TXT 48V. All of our turn signals are designed to plug directly into our Plug and Play Harnesses and light kits. If you have someone else's harness or light kit, you may have to hardwire some of the installation.
From a RHOX authorized dealer. If you submit a contact us form at RHOX.com, we can send you a list of local or online dealers to choose from. rhox.com/contact_us.asp
Yes. It is a universal turn signal and is designed to plug directly into RHOX plug and play harnesses. It can be hardwired if you are not plugging it into our harness.
@@GolfCartInstructions thanks for the quick response! I would plan on plugging it in like you did in the video, so long as i have the same set up. As far as I know I have a stock 2008 rxv (other than 6” lift and wheels). Does this part just turn my current orange running lights in the front into blinkers? Along with my stock tail lights into blinkers? Also, would the turn signals work if the lights were off? Thanks for your time.
