As light and as supportive as it is, and with both rebound and impact protection? These are for serious ballers. These are not for casual ninjas wit handles, not for lifestyle, not for the whole team. You gotta be a smaller guard with a ballislife mixtape with a custom beat by Arab Muzic and an uncle that used to be in rotation with the nuggets. Think of it this way: you don’t choose between a shoe like this and some brons. These are for real ballers who don’t want to put any more minutes on their three pair of grinches you already own while 14 and 6’5”. Ol’ Shaqir O’Neal lookin a**, The REST of us can wait for a Kai 1 reissue or a Kobe 6 or 8 Protro.
As a Bahamian American in Cali from the Bay, I got into Anya with the Klay Thompson line. They look fire too. Probably the best shoe for looks AND performance.
Love to see good tech and materials being used for basketball shoes. I worked retail for many years and I was sick of the low quality high price tag basketball shies that were coming my out. Nike and Adidas were ripping us off big time. Li-Ning shoes are a common thing to see now on local courts which is kinda crazy. My dad just recently purchased the WOW all city 12’s and he loves the quality of all the materials (he liked KD’s before)
As a Chinese, I would like to say that before high school, I always wore Nike, but in recent years, Li Ning, Anta, these sneakers are really too popular, you go to the stadium, a few families, 80% of Chinese young people choose our own brand, I think not only the price, but also the performance and quality, really more sincere than Nike
For those of us not liking the price (understandable 😂) these other brands actually make GREAT LOWER cost alternates of their big tech ones. The Gamma is BASICALLY just the GT Cut with actual ball detail and not just hype but if you can’t afford them, try the Lieren V4 lows (I might be spelling that wrong btw)
Great review Dr Zach, always given us great quality content!! 💪🏿🧠💯 Cannot wait for the review of the Li-Ning Bad Five 3.0 Ultra those are bad boys !!! 🏆🏆🏆
I'm a big fan of your reviews. Basically i watched every video of you reviewing basketball shoes and I made my decisions based on your reviews (and i am glad i did). My comment might go unnoticed but i have a suggestion for the grip ramp test ! If I'm not mistaken you let all shoes slip at their natural weight (without adding weights) which might give a slight advantage to some shoes (and this is a biased advantage as it has more to do with the mass of the shoe rather than grip). A slight modification could be is that you set a weight bar let's say 1kilograms and you make the shoe plus the weights add up to that weight. This way all of your shoes are tested for the same amount of weight:) (a clever way you could do so it to put a balloon inside the shoe and fill it with water until you get the weight you desire ) . Again it's a small suggestion but i hope it helps !! (Once again whatever you do is more than enough for all of us it's just i thought about removing the bias of weight)
@@grahamcarmichael6567i think because so many new Technology like sandwiched high carbon plate (like in running shoes) and the upper that so thin, yeah i think Basketball shoes every year be so lighter and lighter. And i think someday brand like Adidas and Nike gonna use the type of sandwich carbon fiber plate on Basketball shoes like a Chinese brand 361° and Li-Ning
Been waiting for this doc! Great breakdown as usual. Thank you for bringing this one early. One last vid I’m waiting tho for me to decide which ones the best, looking forward on the LiNing Liren V4 lows. Much love doc!🙏🏻🔥🫶🏼
Would this work on the padel court gripwise? Looking at the pattern (looks similar to a clay type of pattern which is very common on padel shoes) of the shoe it looks like it could work. I've been looking for a super light shoe to use.
For anyone wondering about the price, its actually 1199CNY which is about 170 usd, but i dont think they have distributer in US unlike the WOW series, so definitely overpriced in the current US market.
I'm trying to find your video that talks something about barefoot or hallux valgus and the role of the in flare of shoes with regards to repeated split stepping. If you don't remember what it is could you please make a video about it, I'm really curious about your professional opinion. There's so many sources out there that have conflicting point of views albeit legitimate but none of them really address court sports like tennis/basketball/etc.
Well done. I follow your interesting videos. I'd like to know what do you think if it is possible of the recent remake of the Nike Air Flight Huarache (1992). I own the Lakers Away version (Kobe Bryant wear them in 2003/2004 season) and would like to know if they are still current in terms of performance. Thanks
The performance for this shoe is probably the best Lining shoe in the market right now but the price is not nice at all. You're better off getting the LINING Liren 4 v2
Can you post your Universal Rating of each shoe on your website or something? I'm trying to look for new hoop shoes asap, so all day today I've been watching a few of your videos. I've already watched most of these videos in the past, so right now I'm just forwarding to the end to see the rating. It would be helpful if you posted all of your shoe ratings on your website or something, so I can just go check out which shoe had the highest scores & come back to RU-vid to watch the videos of those specific shoes.
Hi doctor, I'm from Brazil and the climate here is very hot and humid. I always have very sweaty (even wet) socks at the end of the game. What would be the ideal sock for this type of situation? I've already tried several socks.
How can I see your 2023 basketball shoe guide? I have the 2024 one but I want to see the specs and URS scores for some older shoes you've reviewed in the past.
There should be a link to the guide in the email with the 2024- if not you can e-mail me from the email you used to purchase and ill have it sent over to you
You don’t want to change the shoe sole as it is also boom. A most breathable shoe is not a necessary. But an additional cushion from boom shoe sole matters more
Li Ning whole motto is “Let’s take other bigger brand’s busted hype shoes and actually fix them” the Gamma is literally just the full potential of the GT Cut😂😂
As always a great review. If i have a $300 for a shoe ill take those rather than kobe's that are just expensive because of kobe himself. Technology is really amazing worth every $$$.
Hi I’m your fan from Taiwan and I really like your video. You give so many details of the shoes and that is why I keep fallowing your latest video, but sadly you didn’t make the video with Anta three-point rain 1and 2, they look great and I hope you can show us them soon (please ◉‿◉ψ(`∇´)ψ
